On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

The Su-30SM with the black coating is probably one of the sexiest fighter planes ever. It’s seriously a very attractive looking jet.
The twin seat sukhoi 30 is such eye candy. I can literally stare at a picture of one for a solid 30 to 45 minutes just taking it in.

The final shot at 11:20 gives a nice perspective of how freakin huge of an airplane the Su-30 is. The pilots are absolutely tiny in relation.

I have actually got to fly an SU-30sm that was part of the Belarus Air Force.
My pilot took me over Mach 2.2 and over 18,000 meters, He showed me the four corners of the flight envelope. Then demonstrated that the aircraft could do a "back-flip" (below 400 km/hr, 5,000 meters) and quickly destroy anything that was following the aircraft.
I currently fly a Citation X for a private Jet charter company.
That's a DREAM COME TRUE! Are you saying pilot flipped at Mach 2.2? Lastly, if I misread how you wrote it, at what speed can it flip backwards? Did you lose consciousness?
Are you really a pilot? I feel like a pilot would know that a backflip at Mach 2.2 would result in thousands of gs and turn the pilot into paste.

You can't do extreme maneuvers up high, and going super fast...
That kinda stuff is only reserved for the lower, slower maneuvers.

3:08 welp the Gripen was designed by SAAB from the get go with a heavy emphasis on being the Flanker annihilator so i guess even with thurst vectoring some things never change for a flanker when its a gripen with HOBS Fox2s

The YF-23 is *w a y* more stealthy than an F-22 and relies more on BVR, the su 30 would not even know what hit it

Me too. More Su-30SM action is always good for me. It's perhaps my favorite bird to watch. It's beautiful, super-maneuverable, it's a hunter with radar off and low altitudes....what's not to like.

Back with a bang! Something i am curious about is the F15 MTD vs the Su30SM. I think that could definitely put up a good fight against it.
That would be interesting, I don't know if the F-15 STOL/MTD would be better, but it would probably be a challenge.
@@radontrailmakersthe STOL/MTD can outrate an F-22, and put up a fight against an F-16, it’s certainly a force to be reckoned with. I wanted it to face off against an F-14.
The biggest drawback is that they had to remove the M-61A1 multi-barrel cannon to fit the forward canards. No gun in a close in dogfight, is not good.
@@debbiestimac5175 maybe they send someone down in the armory? Last door on the left might have some very old Phantom gunpods from the vietnam-era left in stock, a few days of work to get the spiders out and grease everything that shold be moving and you have a boomstick.

It's a wso- weapon systems officer. He can lock with the radar, use AG munition and so on

what is rarely mentioned in Su-30SM is how powerful is engines and how they tolerate disturbed airflow so well and do not even experience engine surges or reduction in thrust.
Arent those similar engines to what the SU57 is using?
@@countinfinity776 Nah,the su57 is using its own 5th gen engines made out of same materials as the F35s for reduced radar cross section,its an engine of its own
@countinfinity776 su 57 prototype used al 41 f which are same as su 35 engines but su 30 uses al 31
@@AlenB29The SU-57 almost entirely uses the AL-41F which is a 4.5 generation engine, it's not on par with the F-135, F-119 or WS-15.

@@CrazyLikeOneno, it fire after the one circle merge then the Gripen turned slightly sharper, and so the Gripen’s missile went full 180 on the Su-30.

So the Su-30SM is basically a weaponized Su-37 with upgraded avionics. I remember watching the video of the Su-37 when Russia debuted it at the '96 Farnborough Airshow. That was the wildest demo I'd ever seen.

Modernized SU-30 vs F-15EX BVR. Probably a hard fight for the Sukhoi, but not impossible.
Su-30 vs F-15E would be a fair fight.
If you want an F-15EX. then you'd have to pit it against either the Su-30SM2 or the Su-35S just because those Su models would be contemporary with the EX, whereas the 30SM would be lagging behind by about 20 years.
F15 is nothing but a junk.
