Really cool idea that I never considered! My issue is... getting to the 3 Fealty is made harder, as a number of Fang's cards are asking for 2+ Draconic Links.
Yeah they definitely made sure to keep Fangs fealty generation in check, I also kinda dislike how most draconic a-reacts are stat-ed around the +1 Fire Vein gets or like you said he has "can only play if" requirements. The more I play him properly the more I've come to accept the cost reduction feels more like a limited thing. I don't really like taking either Affirm Loyalty or Pledge Fealty but don't mind the marked play. But again I feel just feeding Fealty into cards is better than trying to stack them. So if you want explosive turns I'd say Perforate is the starting point.
The extra swing on LWL can target a dagger not on the current chain link with the ectra attack. So instead of buffing Fire Vein by +2 you can swing Quicksilver in extra time.
Ooooh yep yep sizeable extra swing of damage, did not fathom using it on your other dagger with it being a a-react despite the wording. So thanks will keep it in mind when I build the combo again with all the new cards
This is a really cool breakdown.
Thanks can't wait to mix in the new cards and see what we can do
So will Fang be able to put up consistent threats while defending when necessary? Will he be viable?
I can't say they've fixed a lot of warriors short comings. But it does seem like having draconic mixed in will definitely help. Id probably say high-mid at first glance. Having a weaker base weapon despite the ease of additional attacks it still quite the detriment. Dynamos will be huge and the ability to convert cards to draconic makes taking the normal warrior staples easy. Weapons are cheap, the ability makes them cheaper and you can definitely go wider then say kassai so I do like him more than most warriors. And I think you're less penalized for over blocking and can try and re gain tempo but I can't see him being "the new meta"
doesnt work imo. obsidian fire vein never gets go again. the attack does. and quicksilver dagger specifically checks for weapons with go again and not weapon attacks with go again :/
I checked the release notes for quicksilver dagger. It says giving a weapon attack go again counts for the effect so it should work
@@finlamor oh, I stand corrected then! my bad
Yeah so the connection to make is it weapon you control and the terms of weapon, weapon attack and attack. Your equipped weapons always remain under your control unless destroyed where as the new dagger attack card becomes a dagger you control while on the current chain not just active chain link. But in the case of the dagger attack it never becomes a weapon you control.
