This is insane man. I can't even play the wrong notes that fast.
hahahaha. you will get there man just keep fuckin around with ur guitar.
Same here!
Emanuel aguilar can
lol you should see as I an it makes this look like cake
At half speed it’s a pretty awesome Southern rock solo. You can tell that a lot of thrash guitarists cut their teeth on Skynyrd, Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, etc.
That's right. And at 70% or so, it sounded like a Country music solo to me (same with Whiplash or Hit The Lights btw) ^^
Jesus, I don’t think my fingers could ever move that fast
Lol! Just use a slower backing track to practise and it will happen with time 🤘
Lol, same here! 😁😂
Nah. Don't know if you learned it at full speed by now, but once you can play this type of stuff you start to see that it actually isn't that bad, and fairly basic. But to reach this level of accuracy and speed, I had to REALLY force the issue and practice this type of stuff alot, on a regular basis. I learned that taking long breaks from playing caused me to lose the progress I had gained, and then I would have to start all over again.
I used to do all kinds of random extended hammer ons/trills, bends, and right arm stuff to bulid up endurance in both hands. Also learning Free Bird helped with gaining bending endurance, and the self titled Black Sabbath riff helped with trills. But mostly I practiced whatever random stuff similar to that that came to me and seemed really hard. It paid off in the long run. Now many years later this type of style is pretty natural once I get warmed up.
Possibly my favourite hammett solo, been working on it for the last year, but this will be helpful to get it from 85% to 100% (last 5% is usually the hardest). It actually taught me how to tremolo pick. Interesting how kirk had only been playing for like 6 years back then and was that good already
The solo is 50% Hammett 50% Mustaine
@@loong6 I did listen to Dave's solo on the demo and live version. Doesn't sound much like Kirk's solo to me
@@marcinmcula99 Dave's solo is different is true but you can still find some parts of it, Kirk was told to take at least a part of every Dave's solos on Kill em all, if you pay attention there are some licks that Dave uses on his solos in all the solos of the album except for the 1st solo in this song that was completly made by Kirk or the 1st solo of The four hoursemen for example.
@@loong6 The version played by Mustaine was written by Lloyd Grant, Kirk changed the solo before the record
@@NoobGamingXXX i thought lloyd grant only played hit the lights
Wow!! Holy Crap!! That's an amazing lesson...but my fingers said no, no, no way, no can do. I've learned some of your other lessons but this one is far beyond my limits. Lol. It's an amazing thing to watch you do these lessons. You rock my friend!! Thanks for sharing your videos!!
Just slow it down and increase the tempo over time. Everyone can learn to play that fast, it's just a matter of time and dedication. You can do it
@@marcinmcula99 Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I will definitely try harder and be more patient by slowing the tempo like you said and increasing over time. A big Aloha from Hawaii my friend!!
Thanks! I agree with Marcin McUla, getting the right speed is just about practising and speeding up little by little. This is why I provide backing track with different speeds.
Imo Metallica's best solo
Speed demon! Killin’ it!
Thanks!
if learning the first solo is like riding a bicycle, this like learning to drive an f1 car
This solo is crazy man. Congratulations on your effort
Thanks
SO COME ON.... JUMP IN THE FIYAH!!!
Muito obrigado pelo conteúdo ,amigo ! O problema desse solo,o do Hit the lights e alguns outros desse album não é nem a dificuldade, apesar se ser dificil, mas o problema maior é o tamanho dele! Kkk
Yes it's very long and also very fast, so you need some stamina.
This is the solo that made me want to learn guitar when I was a little kid 😂 I thought it would be so easy. 30 years later i still can’t play it 😂
lol find a tempo where it's comfortable to play the whole solo, and then speed it up little by little. It should work in less than 30 years 😁
@@StephLeGratteux😂😂
I will try brother. The first is gone but this is insame!!! Thanks for your explane!!! I will follow you gor tabs don t leave me
Best Kirk solo ever
Quelle maîtrise du solo! Incroyable!!!
0:08 my favorite moment
Esse solo tem uma energia incrível!
Eres el mejor maestro, Steph 🤘🏻💀🎸
Gracias!
congratulations STeph
You can still gain speed by moving the wrist instead of moving the arm, and keeping the little finger close to the strings
That damn intro is really hard. It's simple stuff but I suck at picking.
I suck at picking too, that's why legato is my friend 😄
Thx God that ya have made such a good deceison!
Well done, my friend
I was right at the end of the latest Megadeth concert from 18th June (Belgium), watching the very technical solo of Holy Wars, meanwhile you shows up with this shit! 🤣😅
There is still a God of Metal in Heaven, or what!! 🤟🏻🤘✌
That is great, very nice to see your "quickening" (if I could steal a word from the Highlander).
Haha I can see in your words that the thrasher is satisfied 😄
@@StephLeGratteux ABSULUTELY BROTHER!! 😅😂🤘🤟🏻👍🏻
@@StephLeGratteux Merci beaucoup!
Love it half speed will have to do! Would love a picking tutorial to help improve tech and speed
wouah !!!
Excellent tutorial. Can you do prowler by Iron Maiden next please?
Thanks. It's in my plans for a long time but it's very hard...
@@StephLeGratteux Man, you're an excellent guitarist. I knew it was a hard solo, but I would've thought that cuz it's so early on, it would be relatively easier compared to some of the later maiden solos lol
@@robowizard6132 Dave's is just crazily fast on the 4 first albums^^ Then he calmed down (Adrian's influence?) ,, but went back to super fast stuff on Fear Of The Dark album (Janick's influence?)
This solo is 50% Hammet 50% Mustaine you can see Mustaine touch on it
sick fret inlays lol
👍👍👍👍
