what are the steps/methods that need to be taken to do the PS questions of - buying wallpaper or flooring or tiling and how many rolled/tiles do i need to buy if i can’t join the remainders up together? i really struggle with these questions
Of course it comes down to preference but this can be a useful method if you are more confident with critical thinking type questions. First, it means that you can calculate more easily how long you can spend on the PS section. i.e. if you have used up 40 minutes for CT, then for the remaining 50 minutes you can easily check in every 10 minutes (5 PS questions complete) to make sure you are working through at a good pace. I think it also can prevent fatigue from getting 2/3rds of the paper and knowing you still have a good number of questions from both sides to go! That's how I would personally go about it. Try to finish the CS section as quickly and accurately as possible then divide through my remaining time for PS. Hope that helps :) Good luck!
Hello. The Presidential School opened in Uzbekistan by the Cambridge Assessment Admission Testing Organization has been conducting exams for 3 years. The test is divided into 2 stages, the first stage will be relatively easy questions. But in the second stage, 16 critical thinking and 24 problem solving questions are asked. And this is for 5th graders. My daughter want to study to the president's school this year and recently her exams. What guides can I use to prepare my daughter? Can you advise? Thank you in advance.
just a personal question what would you say to students that tried their hardest in the application process but got rejected i have my exam on Wednesday and cant stop overthinking about it
Sometimes you gotta take a step back and visualise doing well in your exam. Exams are heavily down to head space once you got the methods right. I've noticed on good days I get marks between 45-48 because I'm confident when I narrow the answer down to 2 possibilities instead of procrastinating and then going off on a mental tangent. When I'm not focused and having I bad day I score in the mid 30s because of dumb mistakes and lack of focus. If you're applying to oxford you most likely have the ability to smash these tests. It's just having the belief and confidence in knowing that. Good luck mate.
I realise it's so much easier said than done but try to get forget about that at least until after the exam. Right now, nothing is decided and there are still things that you can control. Worrying about rejection will definitely not improve your chances and could hurt them. So you could consider it an essential part of your TSA exam prep to keep telling yourself that you are more than capable, you are all in the same boat, you cannot know anything till after the exam, and your intelligence is definitely not based on one 90-minute exam. The tutors will know this too so once the exam is done, I would move straight onto interview prep regardless. I don't want to suggest coming up with backup plans etc just yet. Still, I've seen many cases of 1st-time missing an offer then ultimately going on to either rank super highly at a different uni or re-applying and doing the same at Oxford. I want to share some of these with you after the TSA but for now, good luck to you for tomorrow!
Thanks for the advice, hoping it goes well!
Good luck!
I only started revising yesterday... hoping this gets me through it lol.

What score did you get in the TSA if you don’t mind answering?
Btw your videos are very useful
Do you recommend completing critical thinking questions first if you find them easier?
