Megane 2 sloppy gearbox leaver fix this works on ND0 gearbox found on megane 2 1.9dci, megane 225, megane r26, megane f1, but might work on others as well.
I managed to survive more than 2 years with broken bushing with this trick. I had to push it back onto the sphere like 10 times during this time, and when it popped out selecting 5th and 6th gear became very difficult. I bought a complete used control box eventually, but it turned out I was sold a right-hand drive unit which was completely different, so I had to replace the bushing only. This is such a simple little part and I have not managed to find it as new. Replacing and disassembling the control box is not as painful as I initially believed, so I recommend doing it instead of living with this problem.
I’m just trying to work out if this is my issue and how this causes the side to side stop. Would you notice this problem all of a sudden or would it get worse over time? Thanks
Would this fix work if the gear leaver gets super stiff and barely changes the gears? Got to a point where you have to use a lot of force to change the gears, feel like it's stuck in strong clay
Hi, My gearstick had this same symptom, but while driving my gearstick became so loose left-right, and I realised I only had 3rd and 4th gear available, so I limped home without stopping... Navigated the traffic lights, etc... I tried this, but something else is wrong I think, something looks jammed when I look through the hole I drilled...
What if the plastic bush at 4:14 is broken? i drilled a whole and saw the bush is broken. How do you fix this one?? can you explain a bit please? or how to pull out this mechanism?
Hello, i had a problem today, the 6th gear jumps when i hit the gas , when im not accelerating it stays ok, but once i accelerate it jumps, only 6th gear .. would this fix it?
Milose, molim te, hoces li detaljnije reci, dakle saltac ne moram vaditi iz auta, probusim rupu i sta je procedura? Samo gurnuti plastiku unutra? To je sve? Hvala unapred

For me, it didn't pop of for a long time, when it did the second time I made a sleeve that I pressed in. there was nothing to "pop" anymore :)
I´ve tried this solution today on Megane 2 CC 2.0 - works amazing. Like a new! Thank you
I drilled little bit too high and only had access to upper part of the white bearing but I could press it in and it worked like a charm! Thank you!

It suddenly falls off and than its this sloppy. If it happens slowly than its jus wear on the system
I have this problem too. When the engine is hot the gearbox gets stiff side to side

If you can switch gears with the engine off, it's the hydraulic clutch bearing or pressure plate.

It could be that your cable got detached (most likely) and than its much bigger work to take it off

I know its late reply. I made the hole ao it can be repaired without taking it of the carr which is a much more demanding job than this

well, you just need to watch the video :) if the plastic is however completely worn, it can be replaced with a plastic "pipe" or hose
Anyone know the thread size of the gear stick is it a m12?
OK ok I'm looking to get like an aftermarket gear knob and is the actual gear stick was threaded it would be easier you know
