This is probably the last song of his Lorenz Hart ever heard. He was watching a performance of the Broadway revival of Connecticut Yankee, while his favorite actress and dear friend Vivienne Segal was singing the longer version of the song he'd worked very hard on. He was drunk. (At that point, he was drunk about half the time). He got a bit loud. They threw him out. Of his own show. It was cold and wet outside. He literally caught his death. He was only 48.
After he died, Segal, who was grief-stricken at the loss of her friend, dutifully went back to the theater to perform. The show must go on. But she lost the thread--forgot where she was in the song. She blanked on the lyric. (And it's a lot of lyric). She begged the audience's forgiveness, went offstage to collect herself, refreshed her memory, came back, and performed the song perfectly.
    That's a trouper. And a true friend.

This is beautiful. I would like to sing this for an audition coming up, is there any way you can post a link to the sheet music that you used? I want it in this tempo and key. :)
