- Today I'm finishing the entryway makeover by designing a picture frame moulding accent wall and switching out the old light fixture for a more modern light. I'm in LOVE with how it turned out! Slowly but surely, space by space, this house is being transformed from the early 2000s to my more modern traditional style!

Can't believe you did all the renovations by yourself, you are a super lady, you have a lovely voice, wish you all the best !
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️
I’ve watched hundreds of videos on this, this video is the one that made so much sense in my brain. Thank you so much
Glad it was helpful!
Love you! You are my hero! You have a beautiful personality and can-do spirit! Your family is blessed by your desires and ability to make your house your home! May the Lord be your blessing!❤️🌸
That looks lovely 🥰 great job
Amazing what a little bit of trim can do to a wall!!!! Looks fantastic!!!
I KNOW! Makes a big difference.
Love it! Can’t wait to see your upcoming projects!
Awesome job. Looks great!!
You did an amazing job yet again. Looks beautiful! 😊
I think this is the first video of yours I saw. I have been planning something like this in my entry for a while. After seeing your bedroom and rewatching this, I am inspired enough to finally get it done. I put up some crown molding last weekend and plan to do the picture frame panels this weekend. I’m intimidated by big loud saws but have learned to get just fine by with a miter box. It’s slower than a miter saw but it gets the job done.
Love this! Did you see how I added box moulding to my bedroom using miter shears? Game changer for doing smaller projects like this!
@@KelseyRomitoDIY Yes, I did. Great idea! I used the wood trim with the miter box for this and it turned out really nice. I’m really proud of myself. Thanks for the encouragement and confidence from your videos.
Wow! Such a transformation!
Thank you for sharing all the details. It looks so good.
Gosh, Kelsey I just get so excited to see your next video. I love your style and I tend to do things at my house on my own as well. I’d love to do that with my hall walls, I have 3 hall was to do😅
That is an unbelievable transformation!! Love the black door, and the framing. You'r such an inspiration!!
Thank you! ❤️
Another awesome job completed! Love it 😍
Thanks!
looks so nice.
Beautiful job! 🙏🏽👍🏽❤️
like how you did that, you made it look easier than some of the other videos
That little entryway looks so beautiful...
Thank you so much!
I’m so glad I found your channel. We need to tackle some of these projects as well and you give really helpful tips, and better views on the use of the tools part as well.
Awesome! So glad the videos can help.
You amaze me! Your skills are incredible and I so admire how you attend to all the details and do every step to make it so professional. Admirable!
Thank you so much!
Looks great! I'm really enjoying your videos.
Thanks for watching!
That looks awesome!
Thank you! I loved this project.
Looks so good! I like how you worked around the switch plates. I've never considered caulking around switch plates, but it looks so good!
Thanks! I always do it and realized I had never included it in a video but it makes a big difference (especially with textured walls).
Looks great! I did this on my window wall in my living room. However, I do not own a miter saw or a brad nailer. I used miter shears & a staple/nail gun. 😲I also have 6 large boxes & 20 small ones. I'm crazy! This was also my first DIY!!
Great tips!
Looks great!
Thank you!
I'm so glad to find that you did this on knock down texture! I have this and I thought you have to smoothe it out first (many people have said this). I'm finding that this is not the case! It looks stunning on textured walls!! You did an absolutely amazing job! Now I'm going to do it on my knock down walls too :)
Thank you! I’ve heard people say the same thing but I think it looks great as long as you caulk around the edges.
Great job kiddo.
Thank you❤️
Looks great
Thank you!
Excelente proyecto.
Thank you!
Omg you do a better job then must man 👏
Lol thanks!
I’ve been binging your videos since I found your channel last night! I’m so inspired by your diy!!!
Where do you learn how to do all of this?!
Welcome! Glad you’re here! I have a q&a video explaining how I got into diy-

You are amazing
Looks great! Have you ever thought about switching out your light witch covers? I think it would make a big difference for a low cost!
Switching them out for a different cover? You’ve got me interested!
That looks so gorgeous!!! And you made the instructions very clear. If you don’t have access to that kind of saw… Is there a workaround or a less expensive option to get the wood cut?
Absolutely! You can use a miter box and hand saw. I’ve also heard great things about these!

Looks amazing!!! Do you have a link for the blinds you have on your door?
Sorry I found them at a thrift store
This is awesome!!! Did you use the same
Paint sheen on the moulding and the walls?
Thank you! Yes I used the same exact paint as the walls.
We seem to have a similar style preference but I haven’t had the courage to start my DIY remodel lol
I have 3 main walls in my foyer area before you reach my kitchen but I have one wall where I have three large pictures of my kids.
Do you think if I do this on that one wall it would look weird with my other walls with no moulding?
Love your work and you’re motivating me to start my projects to include an electric fireplace built in 🫣😅
I don’t think it would look weird to do only one wall. Especially if you have other things like pictures, etc. it would be like an accent wall
What did you use to fill the brad nail holes?
You did a nice job of installing the oicture frame wall but, in white, it just doesn't add much pizazz. I am going to do it in two colors.
Sounds cool
Love your style! Where did you get the light just inside the front door?
Thanks! This is not the exact one but it’s very similar-

This is the moulding I used.
Wow! You did an awesome job! I’m wanting to do this in my living room. The wall is so long. It’s 16 1/2 ft long. I didn’t know how many frames would look good on it. What do you recommend?
With yours..... how many inches is everything? Like your actual frame is how big... both top and bottom frames? Also how many inches in btwn everything vertically and horizontally? Also loving your floors! What type and color are those?
Thanks! I give a formula in the video that should help figuring out the math. For reference, my wall is about 12 ft. Each box is 35” wide. Tall boxes are 50” long and small boxes are 25” long. My ceilings are 8 ft. The spacing between all the boxes (vertically and horizontally) is 6”. The distance from ceiling/baseboard is 7”. For a wall of that size, I would do 4 boxes. I really really recommend getting some cheap masking tape and putting that on the wall first so you can see if the size/spacing looks good to you.
The flooring is water resistant laminate. Very inexpensive! Here’s the link-

Hope that answers all your questions! Good luck with your projects!
@@KelseyRomitoDIY thank you so much Kelsey! ☺️
Can you tell me if you used a Brad nailer or pin nailer?
Brad nailer.
it looks great. did you have to paint the entire wall or frame only? I saw you pain the wall a bit but I wasn't sure if it got edited out. I guess my question is do you have to paint the entire wall again?
No I just painted the moulding and a little of the wall where I caulked. It blended right in.
@@KelseyRomitoDIY thank you for the response
Looks great! What size nails did you use? 18 gauge or 23 gauge?
18 gauge
Anyone know where the light @ 1:52 was purchased from? it's simple and nice.
I know the light was from lowe’s but can’t find the link. Here’s one that’s very similar-

Can you link the actual molding that you used please!?
Sure!

Question === what color is the wall that you are painting? it looks like Vanilla Ice cream which is similar to what I would love to paint in my Foyer..I am catching up on your older video’s..
2 parts Chantilly lace 1 part simply white
What gauge nails are you using for this project?
18
🤯❤❤❤
Approximately how much was the total expenses?
I’m sorry I can’t remember exact figures but I’m sure it wasn’t any more than $200
This is an awesome tutorial! I am using it now while I tackle similar project! Curious what paint color you used for the wall? I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, sorry if I missed it!
Thanks! I couldn’t find the perfect white so I mixed 2 parts Benjamin Moore chantilly lace with 1 part bm simply white. I had sherwin williams color match the bm colors.
@@KelseyRomitoDIY that’s so funny because those are the two colors I am looking at!
I like the renovations you do, but you should link the products you use. That would be more helpful. Now I have to go find another video somewhere else to see the sizes they used.
Thanks for the feedback. I try to link as much as possible but some of the trim boards and things like that may not have a link.
Please turn off the power when changing electrical fixings
