I had the pleasure of meeting Danielle von Zerneck (Lou) at Chiller Theatre back in October. She is so awesome. We had about a 20 minute conversation. And her co-star in "La Bamba", Lou Diamond Phillips was at the table next to her. He's awesome too.
This could've just as easily been a pre-Full House moment circa 1983-ish, where Jesse is babysitting Stephanie who would've been a toddler at the time, while Danny and Pamela are working and young D.J. is in school. While Stephanie is napping, he then sneaks his struggling girlfriend into the Tanner house, and Pamela comes home early.
EpsilonMK12: Right around that time, I remember John Stamos' fame and career had begun to take off like wildfire. He was a real heartthrob back in his heyday. I think that getting stuck into a Soap-Op character would've proved too restricting for one so young. Big acts like Demi Moore and Rick Springfield were also part of the cast of General Hospital in the 80s.
What's really funny is 10 years later, John Stamos returned to GH for a cameo... he played himself while Scotty, Dominique and Julia stared at him in a restaurant. I posted those clips last year.
@@RebelBuddha1971 Huh? The *difference?* Because _"Tony"_ is generally a dude's name?? 🤷🤷 But on UA-cam it's not unusual for people to use a nom de guerre, so I get it.
Lou's character here does little to show the world just how smokin' fine Danielle von Zerneck was and probably still is. James Fearley of The Pogues, was one lucky guy to marry her. I loved Danielle and still do (respectfully of course) to this day. She was the PRETTIEST DONNA that La Bamba could have EVER cast. The scene where she picks Richie up in that sweet car; while the soundtrack is playing "This I Swear" by the Skyliners, I will never forget. Perfect song and perfect girl. WOW!
This is the first episode t general hospital when we first met Lou l blackie's girlfriend I like her she was tough I Miss Amy they was like brother and sister
Well...Blackie went to jail for killing Lou (although it was an accident, Blackie confessed to her "murder".) Amy just faded away when the producers took the actress, who just died, off contract.
well it SHOULD be gone... I mean the Webbers don't live there anymore and I'm sure that Feliica and Mac...who decorated the place have WAAAY different tastes than Rick and Lesley did.
The last we see of Blackie is when he heads to prison. He was convicted of killing Lou even though he really didn't, he felt guilty about her death and confessed to her death.
i saw and comedy ensued... u know it would've been different had the writers thought of a different way to use the cameo, like i don't know a blackie making it in hollywood type of deal... but eh i guess it would've taken more effort than they were willing to give
Blackie goes to prison for manslaughter. Lou dies and even though it's not totally Blackie's fault, his guilt over her death causes him to confess and plead guilty.
I like blackie Parrish John Stamos I miss him on general hospital I want him to return we all love Amy but he was so nosey I miss her rest in peace Amy and blackie real brother and sister a little and Mike
Krista Brewer Lou was Blackie's girlfriend. The following year she had a fight with him and hit her head on the coffee table and died. He took the blame for her death and is still in jail for her "murder". Even though it was an accident. He thinks he killed her.
I remember somebody killed her we don't know who killed Lou they charge blackie with her murder he went to prison and we haven't seen him anymore I want him to return back to general hospital blackie Parrish
I used to have a picture of John Stamos on my wall. I loved Blackie!
Listening to his audiobook narrated by him . A must listen!
his acting seems so natural...wish i could say the same thing for his counter parts!

He has always been good looking
that's why he's my favorite from Full House even though this aired before Full House premiered
So cool to see a young John Stamos!
To be honest, I'm only here because I wanna check out John Stamos. 😁💖
Uncle Jesse have mercy 😂😁

Wow. That's definitely a classic
Have Mercy for Uncle Jessie

I'm listening to John Stanos autobiography, as he has been talking about this acting gig, I wanted to picture the look.
I don't remember Amy living with Rick and Leslie. But Blackie was definitely a hearth throb. One of my first huge crushes.
You're a dude though... right?
@@donarthiazi2443What’s the difference?

I swear John Stamos plugs the Beach Boys on every show he's on...but i love them both so it's okay!!
Huh? You miss Amy?
Oh Amy I forgot about her! I used to watch this show every day in the early 1980's!
@pxlbarrel I thought he moved to San Francisco to help two other guys raise three sisters who lost their mother.
I like how he randomly brings up peanut butter
The guy (Stamos) looks almost exactly the same today. Interesting.
nice to see Amy outside the hospital for a change
I loved Blackie and Lou! Haven't watched GH since Lou died and Blackie went to jail.
Am I trippin' or is Lou the actress that played Donna in La Bamba?
Sure is!
Yup it is
Thank you!!!!!!!! I knew I knew her lol
This Blackie - Lou story is a lot like the Frisco - Felicia one that follows a year later...
I always like blackie and Amy go at it. They was like brother and sister
I LOVED Danielle Von Zerneck as Lou. Was so mad when they killed her off!
He truly love The Beach Boys in real life too
Fucking adorable
wow, it just shows that when TPTB choose to go in a different direction... they go full steam ahead.
Lou's character here does little to show the world just how smokin' fine

So now I know what the Webber's bathroom looks like --lol!!!
No toilet though......just like The Brady Bunch bathroom!!!!
Yup!
@divadaneen Actually, she's living on the streets whereever she can find a place to sleep. She's a runaway.
Well...Blackie went to jail for killing Lou (although it was an accident, Blackie confessed to her "murder".) Amy just faded away when the producers took the actress, who just died, off contract.
@angelbunz I have that scenen on VHS
how did Blacky end up leaving the show?
He went to jail for killing that girl Lou. Not is fault though.
well it SHOULD be gone... I mean the Webbers don't live there anymore and I'm sure that Feliica and Mac...who decorated the place have WAAAY different tastes than Rick and Lesley did.

GH is 60 this year🎂🎆🎉👍👍
Blackie goes to prison for manslaughter. Lou dies and even though it's not totally Blackie's fault, his guilt over her death causes him to confess and plead guilty.
Why did Blackie go to jail for manslaughter? What exactly happened?
John. Strom. As. Black. E. He. Is. So. 🔥
shouldnt he have come back.... it says on wikipedia he was sent to jail for manslaughter for 18 months... he should coem back for a few episodes
what happens to him
@divadaneen Blackie's trying to hide Lou from Amy and the rest of the family. That's why he's acting so weird.
May Uncle Jesse AKA John Stamos have healthy long life
I like blackie Parrish John Stamos I miss him on general hospital I want him to return we all love Amy but he was so nosey I miss her rest in peace Amy and blackie real brother and sister a little and Mike
Who's Lou? I've heard of her, but don't know who she is

It looks like my grandma's house.
🧢
what ever happened to these characters?
Red flags back in the 80s
Ummm... He doesn't.
All the women sound the same. And John Stamos voice hasn’t changed lol
I remember somebody killed her we don't know who killed Lou they charge blackie with her murder he went to prison and we haven't seen him anymore I want him to return back to general hospital blackie Parrish
It was Amy that killed her cause she pushed her

pxbarrel what does v2 mean? Lou is a total mess! ROFL! Uncle Jesse giving Amy all that food! ROFL! Then he leaves! ROFL!
Amy's is too nosey
Remember white people?
A thing of the past
This is the lamest sitcom I've ever seen, it wasn't the least bit funny.
Possibly because it’s not a sitcom.
Huh? What's that got to do with GH?
