The Jester is an amazing character because he's completely fleshed out despite not saying anything or even having facial expressions. Everything he convoys is through body language. Its such a neat little touch.

He is not at all different than Sam from 'Trick r' Treat' or the Trickster from 'The Terror Of All Hallows Eve' - they all are sentient functionaries of the Holiday, they have duties to perform, some people may get hurt, some may get scared and some will be better for that experience .
I would not be surprised at all if they occupy the same world and are acquainted with each other .

I love the idea of all of these stories taking place in one night and the idea that the jester isnt all murder, sunshine and rainbows, it shows the jester has class, charm, and just kindness in his heart for people who love Halloween.

In other instances, he didn't mind taking one or two but it seems he found it against Halloween spirit that people are restricting kids from taking however many candies they want. Because what are they gonna do? Take 2 or 3, big deal

@@Jalaleen He's not against the idea of enforcing useless rules, as we see him take the "take one" sign and use it later on. The reason he took all that candy was because the girl almost never gets Halloween candy. He felt bad for her and wanted to make sure she got plenty.
And I know plenty of people who will take _all_ the candy in one swipe lol, leaving other kids with nothing. So it is kinda a big deal since that'd mean only the kids who got there first get any. Even if that's not the case, or you argue they'd do that regardless, if you set out a bowl of candy to last 6 hours (aka all night), if everyone takes 2 it'll last 3, if they take 3 it'll last 2, if they take 6 it'll last 1 hour. So yeah 2 or 3 might not seem like a big deal, but if everyone takes 3 the bowl won't even make it halfway through the night, again leaving many without candy there.
How can something so terrifying be so cute and so scary at the same time?

Idk I kinda think it should stay a short. Giving him a backstory and making like a real conflict i feel like would ruin it. I like him having an ominous backstory and little encounters that tie into each other but dont really have any significance.

I couldn’t help but laugh when he hit himself in the face.
That one guy should have had a sign for his door. When we've run out of candy on Halloween, I put a sign on our door that says "Sorry, out of candy". Because sometimes people don't get that when the porch lights are off, that means we're done for the night.
We get between 300 and 500 kids on our street each year. We try to get enough candy for everyone, but sometimes we run out. Thankfully the kid are very understanding.
Alright so the problem is with people who doesn't likes halloween... he just want friends :c

I think the guy from the first short is the little girl's dad. Every time the jester throws the cloak on someone they just end up doing what he thinks they should do. The grump hands out candy, the other guy leaves his lame girlfriend. When he cloaks the dad, he just goes home to take his girl trick-or-treating. We assume from chapter one that the jester is sinister, but he just pulls the cloak from people's eyes. BTW this is filmed in Downtown Clermont, FL

Really interesting how Part 2 and Part 3 were actually prequals to Part 1. So far I've gathered that in a way The Jester is like the spirit of Halloween and only preys on those who refuse to celebrate Halloween.
Even more simple than that: he never really did anything too terrible up until the last guy that he vanished into god knows where, because he was the straw that broke the camel's back after a long night of people being rude to the jester. It's less that he preys on people, and more that he's just like any other person in that he can be fed up by a bad day, *_so just don't be rude._*

Yes that’s what I noticed I realized this is what the Jester represents. He protects the innocent and pushes people to break a few social rules nothing harmful but enjoy themselves and senses and eliminates toxic people and people who don’t appreciate life. That’s what I got from this series. He encourages you to face your fears. I’m happy you picked that up.

@@Tonocuellarc Yeah, well at first look he is creepy as hell, but then he is pretty kind and entertaining. Towards that young girl, he behaved like an angel keeper (or better a devil keeper if you prefer). His unique goal was to save her Halloween. Without him, she would have spent a very boring night.
The Jester is only bad when looked at by the laws of man, rather than the laws of spirits. He never directly kills anyone, and seems to even follow a stricter code than most spirits. He only harms (usually by scaring) those who do not embody the spirit of Halloween, those that do not show kindness, and those that don’t play along. He never kills anyone, assuming making the man in the white shirt disappear didn’t kill him. He just wants everyone to have fun on Halloween! Personally, I think he’s a good spirit, just misunderstood.

The only rule really is to enjoy Halloween. He doesn't care if you wear a costume or not, decorations have nothing to do with it either, same with Jack-O-Lanterns. He only gets upset if you don't like his tricks because that's going again "trick or treat" spirit of Halloween and usually involves them being rude. Like in the first one the guy didn't really seem to care about the tricks, he just wanted to go. In the second one, the guy was annoyed with the Jester as well when the girl just wanted to have some fun. And in this one he went after that guy because, as a magical entity that can teleport and do crazy magic, it wouldn't surprise me if he knew the guy was the Scrooge of Halloween.

I think he just wants people to feel the joys of Halloween, but when the few ruin it that's when he gets angery. That's why he took the girl trick or treating when she was sad and did those magic tricks in the earlier chapters. He's just spreading his own little version of joy. Can't say I blame the guy.
