- I went to the Kansas City reptile expo on July 30th and picked out my very first crested gecko! There were so many to choose from and they were all sooooooo adorable! Since I won't be able officially tell the sex until it is older, I have decided I'm going to call it a girl so I need girl name suggestions.

I hope you guys enjoy today's video from the Kansas City reptile expo where I got my first crested gecko! I know a lot of people don't like expos because the animals are kept in small containers, but personally I feel this is the best option. I'm sure most reptiles that are sold in pet stores live in much worse conditions for extended periods of time, not just temporarily like these. It also allows me to buy directly from a breeder and not have to stress the animal out even more by having it shipped.

How much total did you spend on your tank? I'm planning on getting a orange time flame created off of geckosgeckos.com and don't know if I shud buy the 12x12x18 starter kit or buy a what you got and get the decor seperate
I went to my first reptile show after watching your videos and held a crested gecko. They're so soft! I had to resist buying one since I don't know too much about them yet.

Cute! It has a lot of pattern on it's dorsal, interested to see what it will look like as an adult. I don't know what it is about babies always wanting to run up arms, they're SO FAST! I didn't start holding any of my 3 babies until they were about 10 grams because they were just too small and crazy and they came tailless which I think makes them even faster.
ramonypony my crestie is around 6 grams and mine is very chilled when i handle it. i usually have to put one hand infront of it and nudge it with the other to get it to walk onto my hand .

I did the same. First, I got my leopard gecko. A couple months later I bought a crested gecko, a little while later I bought a green tree frog then, I bought a ball python. I'm holding back on wanting to buy a day gecko or a chahoua lol.

I'm so jealous. I went to a Expo August 5th in PA, and it was rough. It smelled, and I couldn't walk anywhere. So crowded. I drove three hours, just there. But it was worth it for my baby tortoises.

In your opinion which would be best for my son a leapard gecko or a crested gecko. He is 16
Leopards and cresties both make great beginner reptiles as long as you do plenty of research beforehand. I love them both so much, but cresties are probably a little easier due to the fact they’re generally good at room temperature and eat mainly a prepackaged diet.

I got mine at my local reptile shop The Tie-died iguana, they have spiders, snakes, frogs, and lizards it’s amazing they even have a giant snake but I forgot what kind it was

Uhh I love this video so much. All of my dream animals - crested or leopard geckos, hog nose snake or a sand boa, chinchilla, any bunny, any cat, any dog, comellian (?), axolatol, goats, chickens and much more. My mom will only let me own fish and we have a dog.. so I have to move out before starting to look for some cuties to take care of. 😅 I also would need a well paying job and time on my hands to care for all of them, but I'm probably not gonna get all of them..

I have done lots of research on crested and actually want one, I just need to convince my parents. I spend lots of time watching vids of them and care and really want one. I already know of how long they live and I gave thought of where they will be in a few years and I think I am ready for one. I try really hard I school and get all my work done. I know this is off topic but I'm kinda desperate here lol. I just got my crested gecko Tinkerbelle about 2 weeks ago, and I let her settle into her large kk for a week and I have just started to handle her on Monday, June 3rd for about 5min every day until yesterday June 8th and she hasn't flared down since June 3rd and now its June 9th I'm not sure if she is eating by herself yet but I have started hand feeding her. I'm worried that she is stressed, or something else, because she hasn't flared down after I have been handling her. is that normal?

Omg, that's so awesome! I actually got my banana ball python from the same breeder! The expo was so packed though, I got there at 10 and was in line to get in until like 10:30, crazy busy.
I got there around 9:45, so I got in pretty early. I'm not sure why they moved it back downstairs into the smaller room again.

Those baby axolotls were so cute and you could name it Rex, Cheeto (idk why but I thought of this name as soon as I saw it 😂) or something from Star Wars (Rey, Kylo, Luke, Han, Gyn, Bodhi, Cassian, Vader, Leia, Chewie) also wanted to tell you that I finally got my first mouse the other day, her name is Honey and she was all alone in the store but im looking for a friend for her soon ☺
