Great job Beth. In a hotel parking lot taking care of business. Love your videos on how to repair broken parts no matter where you are. Always good to have such great friends to help along the way.
Nothing like riding from Atlanta to Jacksonville FL to then take a side trip the next day to Melbourne FL. My butt is still sore lol. But that's what friends are for and especially my BFF. Thanks for this memory, as the video will always remind me why my goldwing has an extra 350 miles on it lol.
Sorry, don't know how to comment to everyone on your channel so here it is...have heard so many times that a Ryker is a young persons' game...just want to say I'm 59 just got a 2021 Ryker....luvin it!!!!!!🤙🤙🤙
Thank you for another great video:) I appreciate you taking the time to do them and it helps me learn about my Ryker:) Your great teacher! Thank you again
I don’t remember a code just went into limp home mode. I do remember when my bike was off my brake lights would stay on. The brake light stayed on when I was riding as well.
Hello my can am ryker shows limp mode home mode scan shows low voltage issue. I've changed my battery bit improvement but still when i drive a high constant speed check engine starts to flash and bikes go into limp mode. Any idea how to solve this issue. Thank you
watching this install reminded me of your other electrical wire installs, did you ever install another fuse box so you don't need to jump right to your battery? still catching up. :) lol
What year and size is this part for. My wife's 2021 ryker 600 is having this same issue. Will this part fit that model? Ive sean 2 different sku numbers on the website you listed for a brake switch. Thank you!
Hi, I bought my bike 1 month ago from a dealer 2 hours away. My brake lights won't turn off. No code pops up, but the brake lights stay very bright red. I don't know if that is the same as limp mode. Any suggestions? I have less than 200 miles on this brand new bike.
Ugh, unfortunately you need to bring it in (it is under warranty). Try to find an authorized Can-am mechanic near you to resolve the problem. It is probably just a faulty wire or a sensor issue.
@@RykerRydes Hey, thank you for that. The brake wire was too tight around the spring keeping the brake engaged. They took care of me in like 2 minutes. Thanks for the help
I don't think the brake module caused the problem. The brake switch went bad on its own. That being said, I don''t like cutting into main wires, so will not be putting the module back on. Others have put it on and it's works great for them. As for the speakers, I did not keep them on the bike. I like clean handlebars. I prefer in helmet music (Sena or Cardo)

Hey Beth, what was the code you received when the brake switch was not working...
I don’t remember a code just went into limp home mode. I do remember when my bike was off my brake lights would stay on. The brake light stayed on when I was riding as well.
You should come up with the best and as close as possible tool kit for the Ryker to carry with you on the road trip .
Agreed!

Please reach out to me on my website www.rykerrydes.com and leave me a message with your phone #. I had a similar problem, I'd love to share with you.
Great work on this video! Do you have a small toolkit with you on your Ryker?
Yes I do! You can grab one from amazon or any motorcycle shop.
@@RykerRydes Thank you.
Where did your exhaust go? I noticed the factory exhaust back on the bike.
Hey Tony. It was too loud for me. I did a giveaway with it.

No, I have the original fuse box and fuses. Thanks for watching.
Hello beth,Where your friend bought the gear?
Do you mean the brake switch?
No, The black jacket that he has

I believe the sku # has in fact changed. My bike is a 2019 900

Mines is doing the same thing and I’m worried it might kill my battery
How did they loosen the spring
Nice!!!...where did you get tool set??
Following
Cycle Gear I got a tool kit just like the one Beth has its about $40.00
It was Brian's, he got it at cycle gear.
Thanks so much. The tool set was my friend Brian's. I believe it was from Cycle Gear.
Hey Beth are you keeping the brake module on your Ryker since maybe it was the cause of the problem? Did u get rid of your speakers??

This problems seems to happen to Spiders and Rykers, might be a good part to have in a tool kit.
Not a bad idea.
the part that caused this problem, what's your thoughts about it. by the way, you did this repair out of town in a parking lot, wow! nice job.

Take it back to the dealer. The brake switch needs an adjustment!!
Good work :-)
