Texans can go to In-N-Out, but Whataburger is more representative of Texas and we are very proud of Whataburger. I live in Houston and have lived in Dallas. I personally like Houston better. Any city center in any of the large cities in Texas is going to be less like the prototypical “Texas”. As you get further away from the city centers you will find even more of the Texans that are very proud of our state. The beauty of our state is in the diversity of our landscape as well as our history. Come to visit anytime between October 1 and April 30. I suggest coming to the Houston area in early March to visit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. This is the largest indoor rodeo in the world. It is run by 30,000 volunteers and raises 10’s of millions in scholarships each year. On the barbecue… you shouldn’t be able to hold a piece of brisket up like that. It should fall apart.
