Yesss! The purple magic dye is sitting in my hair rn! I put it undiluted on my dark base color, and then for my bleached parts a bit mixed with manic panic electric amethyst and conditioner. I think it’s going to be darker than I planned. But ah well! It’ll fade
This is such a great video as the website shows the swatches as a dark blue/purple and your tests show that they are actually fully black. I have untouched roots and some currently faded red ends and finding a direct dye that will come out as I am hoping it to is hard. (going for a sort of dark aubergine look)
I have all of the magic ones but been too scared to go that dark. But, I will say, I recently bought silver and gray cause I always use them and use as a mix in. (and used your code lol) They changed those two again. Slate was my all time fav, faded a gorgeous blue. Now they are both so neutral. My old eclipse diluted is much bluer than your eclipse in this. I wish I could show you a pic of my swatches together. The difference is huge. I'll still use them but my perfect gray is gone now. I did try slate diluted 1/9. It's nice but for anyone needing a blue gray it's not there anymore. And, again, thank you!
This is very helpful! I have Charm and Salem in the post right now. I never lighten to pale blonde as I have to keep my reds/purple/plums "natural" for work but lighten slightly for some vividness. I love dark tones with coloured reflects so super excited to try these (and might need the other too as well now that I've watched this 😂)
ive been wanting to dye my hair shadow! but my hair is currently a more pale orange/peachy faded color so im not sure how it will go since i def want to preserve the blue color of shadow instead of it canceling out potentially but these swatches are all so pretty!
I used the eclipse black on my bleached roots and the rest of my hair was still violet. What happened was that the bleached parts turned very much green ofc and the rest faded in different Colours kinda bc of what colors I had before I guess😂 it’s not my fav I would have liked the old version of it more with the fading being brown to orange but sadly they changed it ☹️
i put "eclipse" on manic panic "violet night" and it turned green also! but in all fairness bleach on top of non faded violet night also turns green, on very faded hair it lifts straight out
I don't know if I'm the only person who had this but my hair was a purplish color and I used eclipse on it and it faded green...not sure how that happened but I definitely had to keep dying it
Perhaps it was the blue undertones in the dye! It says on the website that eclipse black has purple and blue undertones but maybe it is slightly bluer which made your hair fade green? Although if your hair was already purple - ish it shouldn't have but I'm not sure 😮💨
Hi! I find them to be conditioning on my hair. I recently dyed my freshly bleached hair with magic salem (and some pieces with nightshade) and they left my hair pretty soft. Keep in mind I also added protein filler to the hair dye and the ion color booster just for added protection since bleached hair is very fragile. Overall I think they add some moisture back to your hair, do keep in mind that they stain a lot 🙈 I hope this helped!
@@lmss3245hi i know this comment is few months old but i have a question regarding magic salem.. how did it wash out ? im scared of it washing out green
@@michaelaaaaaaaa hello! Well, in my experience it didn't wash out green at all, it was more of a red orange. Since I applied it on bleached very light hair it didn't fade out as purple as I had hoped, more like any regular black dye. It was also a pain to remove and I couldn't get it out completely, I had to cut my hair. When I tried the dye a second time, I made sure that I had a purple base under, not blonde. I used nightshade and my hair was a light purple, then I put magic Salem on top and that time it faded out so much better, to actual purple and the silver. So I think it really depends on what your base is. Since this is a purple base it won't fade green.
Thank you so much! I've been wanting to dye my hair black but my hairstylist thinks it will ruin everything- now I have swatches to show her!

Hey, does it bleed? I have white pillows and blankets so I’m kind of worried

oh wow cool idea 💡👌🏻🙂
Does anyone know if these are conditioning at all?
