+bree torious it's crazy how Kevin is able to embody all these musician's voices but it never seems like he's trying to rip them off, and the amounts of top notch production he adds to all of his music, he's truly one of the best musicians of this decade
Yeah as much as I love Tame Impala, I feel like Kevin has narrowed his voice down to an annoying degree; going for the same octaves, tones, embellishments, whatever. It's a bit tiring on Currents and the Slow Rush in particular.
@@k-leb4671 yea, in the 2010 acoustic innerspeaker performance he used a lot more technique and emotion in his vocals compared to the acual innerspeaker album. He still could probably sing like that if he wanted to. Maybe not to the best degree though.
This one is freaking awesome! Thank you so much for uploading it! How many more do you have to upload? I'm really, really looking forward to hearing the rest of them. Thanks again! :-)
Even if they came first! It's totally sounds like Wolfmother, or 'f you prefer Wolfmother sounds like The Dee Dee Sums. Anyway, that proves it exists an Australian sound, and it's damn so fucking good!!!
..I dare say falseto + some Fx kinda delay or a bit of phase through his mic mix? Anyway, this sounds more dark, and the falsetto stule is kinda more ...sweet to the ears..Both are great!
No it’s Kevin sounding like Andrew Stockdale from Wolfmother. At the time this EP was recorded Wolfmother were big (in fact as big as they got...damn Andrew and his narcissistic qualities because they wrecked the band. Imitation is flattery. Anyway both bands ended up on the same record label for a while.
+Fox Fields He changed his singing style as he matured and developed into tame impala, lol anyone can sing falsetto and their voice would sound much different. If you listen you can hear similiarities between this and his latest releases.
i wish people knew this side of tame impala toooooooooooo its too good
In terms if origin...
The best side of tame impala!!
Ethan Bennett yup
He was clearly always meant for greatness 😎

So true songs like half full glass of wine you can hear he uses his voice differently but never sings like that again it's frustrating

is this really kevin singing? I refuse to believe it, not one phrase in it sounds like he usually does XP
+rickenbacker40011 He's in his early days before he started using falsetto kinda like Dan Auerbach
+rickenbacker40011 It's Wolfmothers Andrew Stockdale.
..I dare say falseto + some Fx kinda delay or a bit of phase through his mic mix?

liberados de los 70, Cool°
Where is the John Lennons' voice?
I'm totally fan of them, but the true is: probally he puts that tone on.
+Fox Fields How do you know he wasnt putting on a normal voice on in this?
+Fox Fields He changed his singing style as he matured and developed into tame impala, lol anyone can sing falsetto and their voice would sound much different. If you listen you can hear similiarities between this and his latest releases.
His voice sounds more falsetto in the new album. But ok. I love this band anyway.
+Fox Fields This is not just kevin singing
Fuck this is sooooo good
