The only inaccuracy I see is you keep getting out of the left lane when you’re done passing vehicles. Just fly down the left lane until you come up on your exit, wait until the last possible moment and cut across all lanes and take the exit without slowing down.
I swear Michigan drivers are very similar to Florida drivers, just on two opposite ends of I-75. “Blinkers don’t exist, I’m more important than everyone else, my texts are very important, 20 mph over the limit is the norm, my lane ends?, red light means you can fit 4 more cars through the intersection (especially on a red arrow), what’s a blind spot?, I can fit in that gap, I’m going to stop in the middle of the freeway sideways in two of three lanes just to get my exit (I’ve witnessed), semi’s don’t pivot and don’t need any room to turn, let me take that parking spot even though you had that orange blinky thing on the side of your car,” and etc. Love these vids Jeff, too real! 👍
yes, i travel to Detroit a couple of times a year and around 8 mile they drive like maniacs. if you dont gun it at a green light you get a honk, if you are doing 45 in a 45 you get a honk. i adapted since my first time up there and can now fit in with the driving. and some may say its more dangerous but i can tell you, you get around a lot quicker when everyone is in a hurry. in my hometown everyone is slow and I've started to go around people because i realized same as other that we only have limited time so why get stuck behind some ass doing 10 under lol

Looks like you are one of the out of towners who experiences the true Motor City way lol. Cops have adapted to a lot of our habits, I was going up North to the Upper Peninsula and I set my cruise to 80 in a 70, the cop didn’t even flinch. I try my best to drive like a sane person, but you will get run off the road in a lot of situations if you try to follow the law as much as possible. There are only three other places that I’ve seen over 70% of drivers following similar or worse habits: Florida, Maryland, and Virginia, I guess everybody has there own unique bad drivers.

But if you are to go fast where I live that pull you over, although they do let me go with a warning 95% of the time. I’ve been pulled over about 6 times for speeding and only once got a ticket, it was for 55 in a 40 but he actually clocked me at 64. The other times I got a verbal warning for 60 in a 30, 40 in a 20, and other simple ones like 45 in a 30. I guess I have a lead foot but for some reason the cops just keep letting me go. I think because maybe it’s only speeding. I do everything else safely like signals to change lane and such

My mom gets it from her mom and my dad raced Formula Ford and was in an Indycar Team for a little while, safe to say I was destined to be like them. Yet to get pulled over and I have a lot of close friends with the Police Department so if that day does come I have connections lol. Ohio has some of the strictest police, most likely like Tennessee except no warnings mostly tickets, so it’s common knowledge once you cross that state line, you slow way the fuck down, they are absolutely ruthless down there, my dad has plenty of experience with that on business and road trips.

when i went to the Daytona 500 in 2020 i saw three bad car accidents within an hour of getting to Florida, and all of them were people turning left at stop lights when they werent supposed to

How to drive in Texas: 1. Go as fast as possible and pass dangerously around everyone. 2. If no one is around or everyone is behind you after weaving through them suddenly go 20 mph under the speed limit. 3. If you have a truck ensure your blue beams are on at all times including in broad daylight. Bonus points if you tailgate. 4. Ride someone's rear as much as possible for as long as possible in the hopes they turn off or lane change for you. 5. Sit at a stop sign forever playing the game of "who the heck goes next?" 6. If you're particularly in a hurry run stop signs regardless if it's your turn or not. 7. The brake peddle needs to be smashed through the floor before every stop. 8. You need to be going 20+ mph minimum on all roads. 9. School busses, city busses, semis, flatbeds, and other vehicles are a hindrance. 10. School zones are just a suggestion. 11. Neglect the turn signal. It doesn't exist. List is probably bigger than this... but this is a good summary of the common things I see on my commute to and from work. It's a nightmare down here.

I'm a truck driver, Greenville SC to Groveland FL twice a week. I've Learned there are 2 types of drivers in Florida. 1.
