Micheal Kidd Gilchrist has a ton a of potential. He's been in the league for three years and is still 22! He already has some of the best defensive ability in the league. Rebounds harder than some pfs and is one of the most athletic players in the league. All he needs is a jumper and watch out
not a great scorer but he's turning into the best you could've hoped if youre a hornets fan; very high motor, great defender and rebounder, good finisher in the paint.
i love the way he understands his offensive game. he's a powerful finisher, makes a ton of cuts to the basket. Actually a pretty good post player for 6'8, he can get under people and draw fouls very well. He never tried to do something he knows he can't do. He only ever shoots when he's wide open inside, and didn't take a single three this season. He didn't slip into exorcist arm mode once this season, though some games he was pushing it. he had by far his best season in the league this year, and only looks to improve in range and efficiency. All while finishing 9th in DPOY voting on a small market team that didn't make the playoffs. I'm looking forward to prime MKG.
We never appreciated MKG in Charlottebecause he was so high a pick. But he was a heart and soul type player who was always injured because he threw his whole body into every play.

I always knew that MKG was picked so high because of his physical attributes, but from this highlight I couldn't see the mind blowing explosiveness I imagined, ones like Vince or Derozen. His jump looks kinda average for NBA dudes don't you think?
His jumper is waaaaay below average for an NBA wing. He probably hurts the team more than helps knowing they can sag off and clump the paint with big al.
