I don't own the Waldorf M (yet) but I do recommend it. Its a lovely synth to play and to design sounds on. I had it for 3 weeks in the studio (thanx to Waldorf Music) and do miss it now its gone. The layout of the controls feels really natural and you'll find your way in no time.
Sorry, but I think this Waldorf M sounds better than the $5k Groove Synth 3rd Wave. The M has a VCA whereas the 3rd wave does not, correct? I only hear about the analog filters but I’m assuming the amplifier is digital
I loved to see his enthusiasm and passion for the Waldorf Wave. For me it was a reason to buy this synth, to experience the same feelings and it did not dissapoint. RIP Mike.
Is it just me or does this filter sound harsh? I think Waldorf recreated the wavetables perfectly, but the filter (which is really half of the package on an original Microwave) doesn't have that same warm, subaquatic aura that I revere in the Rev. A.
I did an extensive comparison between the original Microwave and the M while I was transfering our Microwave presets to the M. My conclusion...they sound almost identical including filter. The only problem I ran into was that the output of modifiers like Envelops and LFOs was slightly different but that had to do with scaling. But this was easy to solve by listening carefully. I think the scaling problem has been solved with the latest firmware upgrade. While programming I had the feeling that I was programming the Microwave. That's how good the M sounds in my opinion. BTW I do not own an M and am not endorsed by Waldorf.
Synth of the century so far for me. Lovely patches. The thing is pure character
I love the sound of this synth
i'm coming back to this video on a weekly basis especially for the last patch in the video - magnificent! All the patch bank is stellar though!
this video, and your Modern video are the first two videos i've seen on UA-cam that make me want to consider buying the M.

@@sonic_freaks Alright. I guess I need to hear it on some monitors to really do the comparison. I am still interested in trying it out one day.
@@AnnexIptaru the filter is superb, the same as on UDO Super6, those are the most musical and pleasant ones I heard.
Hi! Is it difficult to load your own samples, let’s say, from serum?
I don't know. I haven't tried it yet.
@@sonic_freaks let me know when and if you’ll try! 💪🏼
