In the late 80's and early 90's, I was a young guy, either getting home late from a second job or in college, up late studying or finishing a paper, when I started watching "Later". I remember then thinking, 'What a crazy good half-hour this is.' It's so special to rewat h these again! Thank you so much for these!
When Reggie Jackson stepped into the batter’s box there was always a chance of him taking a pitcher out of the park. Never a dull moment when Mr. October was at the plate.
@@Stevioslawgeek1979 true, but he has a tremendous knowledge of the game’s history, and he NEVER a didn’t hustle. Humility wasn’t his strong suit, but he NEVER cheated the fans or his teammates with lackadaisical play. Compared to many of today’s athletes, Reggie was a pleasure.
That "first pitch" from Hooton that Jackson 'hit out of the ballpark' was distinctly, _not_ "inside" 3:52 It was pretty much down the middle, if anything, "leaning" outside
Now that I have grown up and watch this interview even though I'm a massive Reggie fan, I realize why he is not mentioned as much today by most media. He has always had a gigantic ego. Just picture Donald Trump as a baseball player. Reggie in this interview refers to himself in the third person a bunch of times. I think his ego burned a lot of bridges over the years. Sad but true.

My favorite interview show!
Tommy Lasorda is in heaven now, still having nightmares even up there. from what Reggie did to his dodgers in the 77 and 1978 world series. LOL LOL
Sweet, powerful swing and a great storyteller.

Salute!!! You paved the way brother! No nonsense and knew his worth!!!!
Paved the way for arrogant athletes who take themselves entirely too seriously and who actually think that what they do is important.

My all time favorite good enough to sign an autograph too no problem so much for the “hot dog” you’re the best Reggie!!!
Still remember my one experience meeting Reggie Jackson. He asked us where the bathroom was. (Not kidding.)
Brush with greatness! A cool honor.
Same experience in NYC with Ricky "the Dragon " Steamboat

all of reggies homeruns were golden
“Room service!” Classic 💥
It could have been 10-0 in the ninth but if Reggie was scheduled to hit everyone stayed in their seats.
I 'stayed in [my] seat' until the final out because I enjoy the game of baseball.
Mr. Effing october
The Mr. October status made him the only 6 tool 🌟 player. 🌟 😁
Grow up, infant.
@@yankee2666 why did you reply that to me??
How ironic that Mr. October never played in his first world series, that was in 1972
Reggie equaled danger just like Bonds did later

Great player, but how odd that he talks about himself in the 3rd person.
A good habit for all of us.
GREATEST ... MUHAMMAD ALI ... JACK JOHNSON ... JOE LOUIS ... REGGIE JACKSON ... BO JACKSON ... CHRIS JACKSON ... JIM BROWN
