Awesome to see them bringing all these iconic trucks comin back, Grandpa had a 79 ranger 250 in brown so that’d be the color I’d get. But I’d love to see an old dodge truck body I.e. power ram. it would only make sense to have all of the big 3 and there’s not enough love for old dodge trucks 🤙🏻

Hi Greg, you asked so I’m gonna say. Would love to see Traxxas come out with an ol’ skool’ Dodge Power Wagon truck body on this TRX-4 high lift platform. Gotta cover all 3 American brands, right! Excellent vid as usual.
I also commented this choice. Id would prefer the stepside version myself or even the old Ramcharger.

@@SebastianLong Might as well do both, the Ramcharger and the Ram, Traxxas did both styles in Ford and Chevy.
Traxxas might run out of ways to make swapping High Trail bodies require a laborious list of modifications if they ad a Dodge body to the lineup. It's not that I'm cheap I'm simply running out of room.
Why would Traxxas NOT want to capitalize on PowerWagon and RamCharger body’s ? Redcat has International covered with a Scout’ish body Axial has the early Bronco body ect… One can argue that Pro-Line has a PowerWagon body but, but it’s a separate body and cab on a 12.3 wheelbase that isn’t going to work on the longer high trail.
I've been loving my K10. Don't forget the folding chrome mirrors when you do the rollbar. Sets it all off when installed
This is such a cool set up with fender wells,easy battery installation and locking and unlocking diffs plus it has scale looks 🤩
I'd love to see grill swap options to make it look like a 76-77 or a 73-75. I own a 74 with a 77 grill swap and love the look personally!
I'm not really a Traxxas fan and haven't bought one since the first Slash came out. However I'm definitely sold on this one and I'll be going for the metallic brown version!

First truck was a 77 heavy half long bed , got mud tires for Christmas and had to replace every u joint within maybe 2 weeks hit every mid hole I found riding fourwheelers or bikes out the old logging/oil roads . Those were the good times when ya could afford to drive ...
I had my Chevy High Trail out & it surprised me a few times & went up lines other more capable Crawlers made. Only on steep side hill ares are a weak spot but it’ll just mow right over rocks & boulders.

Since none of the manufacturers do it (minus Axial once with a 5th gen Ram), I'd really love if Traxxas would make a square body Dodge from 74-93 on this chassis. :Side note: Im not a Ford fan by any means, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want this truck in blue, it looks great. Great video as always!

I recently bought the brown version! Awesome truck. I have a modified TRX4 bronco with a hard body , but I love this scale looking f150 body.

Really like the truck. I agree about the windows. Clear would be better. As for more model options, you would only need some grill and trim options to cover 73-79 Fords. I personally prefer 61-66 Ford trucks. Pro-line makes a body but I would love to see Traxxas make one on the TRX-4 chassis

Ordered a brown one this morning, can't wait until it gets here. I'd love to see a new style Bronco body for the high lift series. I don't think my current TRX4 Bronco body will fit the new chassis. I like that this truck already comes with the roll bar and lights, it's one less thing I'll have to buy.

Will traxxas offer this body style clear to be purchased separately on the website like they do for the k10? Cause those blacked out windows were a mistake traxxas!
You know what would top this off? is make a clipless system body incert for the 79 Bronco to inter change with the frame.
I want them to make a 1984 Ford F-150 Flareside body. That was my first vehicle, in black, and I like the look. It had chains for the tailgate and that would be a cool scale aspect on it.
I just ordered the brown one but I think it would be cool to see a 70s dodge body but to make it unique maybe a step side like the little red express but 4x4

I'm Liking the Ranger High Trail with the Rollbar already installed (the K10 Rollbar with lights wasn't an easy install) The Early Release is supposed to be Black and Chrome, then the Blue and Brown in June?? The Molded Chrome's are a nice feature, wishing for Beadlocks and a Stronger Servo and guessing the 79 Bronco Light Kit would be the same? But a total Pro Scale Light Kit would be a Great Option "TRAXXAS"!! 😜

Here is clarification on color availability. All three colors are available to preorder now in local hobby shops. Starting on March 3rd, Blue and Brown will be on sale to buy and take home from all Traxxas dealers. Black will be available from Traxxas Exclusive Dealers starting on March 3rd, then Black will be available from all other dealers starting on June 1st.
I have driven one of these and there awesome, only thing I don't like is it rolls over super easy even driving on flat ground if you turn to quickly it rolls over

I would find me just a tad bit smaller tires i think it would look good with the rims on the new chevy k-10
C'mon turn it into a Mud Truck! Put the extra lift on it and Jconcepts 2.6 Fling Kings. In second gear the high trail throws a sick mud rooster tail. You should try it. I did the same with my Chevy K10 Hightrail. So much fun!

I'm not the biggest ford fan, so this one, to me it's a bronco without the top. It's still a sharp looking body, but still kind of the same. I like the lifted truck look, and I've debated the lift kit many times for my k5. But it still does excellent on 1.9 tires....and I have something like 250 miles on it in the last 4 years, and haven't broken much.
I'd love to see the GMC Sierra Grande body from the Fall Guy for the TRX4 !
I wish I had some local spots to use a crawler.
The brown is super 70's style. It would be even better if you could get the cream and orange pin striping on it though, like ford had done.
The brown looks like it would be pretty cool, but how do you not go with the blue?? It looks fantastic, and you're basically a decal sheet away from having the original Bigfoot.
I read the comment about RANGERS. I believe the short bed 150's in the 70's where called RANGERS. FORD started making small RANGERS in 1984. I have 4 '88' RANGERS. 2 2001 4 door 4x4 RANGERS. '92 MUSTANG 4x4 CONV. 2003 MINI COOPER 4x4. 2003 Beetle 4x4. ALL those bodys would be cool! A currently working on 1/6 scale '01'RANGER 4 door 4x4 on JCONCEPTS rangers 5.57x2.95x 2.2 tires. 2 cyl. TOYAN GAS conv. eng. [spark plugs & CDI ign.] 3 speed trans w/reverse. 4 wheel steering metal semi axles and 1/2'' stainless steel POWERSTROKE twin stacks from a 7.3L exhaust bypass tube. It's 28 1/2'' long. 17 1/2" wheel base. and 31lbs. also the TOYAN eng. is liquid cooled w/radiator. My 1/6 scale RC MINI COOP 4x4 has air cooled TOYAN 2 cyl. gas conv. eng w/manual belt clutch 2 speed transfer case 4.7'' tall 1.9 Milestar Patigonia tires. 24'' long . 15-1/2'' wheel base and 25lbs. great review of a neat truck. The only thing, it looks very toy like at speed because it bounces along. I know it's the geometry, but it excels at low speed, yet high speed is unrealistic 👍🍺🇬🇧

Having taken delivery of my Chevy K10 High Trail a month ago this new F150 Ford High Trail comes as no surprise. With some proper brass Portal covers to lower the CG this TRX4 High Trail platform performs exceptionally; crawling lazily and easily over obstacles that often require far more of my attention when driving even my Capra. I'm jealous of the standard rollbar on this new F150. That's a $30+ accessory that then requires removal of the inner body cage, other bits, and precission hole drilling to install. I wonder if the F150 body will fit the K10 and visa-versa?
