Ever hear Jes Goodwin speak? The man sounds like an actual Astartes, all deep and commanding. Brit accents are so versatile that they can be both elegant and powerful at the same time.
I love this idea about the orkz/Krorkz! A species built from the mistakes made when creating other sentient races in an effort to create a perfect biological warmachine. A warmachine that is literally powered by each of its constituent parts (squig, snotling, gretchin, ork/krork) both physically, through spores, and mentally, through the gestalt power of their collective conciousness, a mental power which is used to literally unlock and UPGRADE the species as its warmachine grows larger! It is amazing that the Old Ones didn't think about what they would do AFTER the krorks had no enemies left to fight...As, judging by what we know from the Eldars interactions with the Old Ones, most if not all races cultivated by the Old Ones where sentient and possessed free will. It is fascinating to think how GW will introduce the Krorks as they will inevitably be introduced to WH40k due to how powerful Ghazghkull is becoming; Will Orkz just randomly start changing into Krorks? Or will only a select few, exceptionally POWERFUL orkz evolve into them? Will the emerging Krorks specialize ork society even further? Will the pinnacle of ork society no longer be composed of just oddboyz, nobz, boyz, etc. but perhaps Hiztorians, exclusively a Krork evolution. An odd-Krork boy that has an inquenchable desire to catalogue battles, advise, and recall past battles to both learn and improve Krork leadership and perhaps even.. Remember past betrayals? Due to how an orks specialization is connected to its genetic code, can this code also store ork history? Perhaps we will see Krorks capable of reverse-engineering enemy tech, adding to an already formidable arsenal that cannot be reverse-engineered itself due to the inherit trait of the orkz. Dedicated ship-builders, Builders of the infrastructure needed for complex high tech warfare. (Krork programmers anyone?). Generals, Strategists that operate on a Galactic scale, Captains, Lieutenants that not only lead by physical might but PSYCHIC, wierd-boyz that don't explode but can actually properly harness the powers of the warp, more proficiently than even Aeldari! Just thinking about what kinds of Krork subtypes will exist in a Krork waaagh! is so exciting! After thinking for a bit I stumble across this idea, what if Gork and Mork and just the ork gods? But are actually Old Ones themselves? The Old Ones with their unfathomable intelligent must've noticed the more renegade attitude of some of their more powerful cultivated races (Aeldari for example). Perhaps in order to assure the absolute alleigance and obedience from the Krorkz two Old Ones sacrificed themselves during the creation of the Krorkz in order to create, maintain and direct the Krorkz collective gestalt conciousness commonly known as the Waaagh! and in so doing, ensure their obedience not by force but because they had woven themselves into the Krorkz very conciousness, their beliefs, their gods! This could've been the leash which the Old Ones used to control the Krorkz!
The way I've always seen is that Orks are always only as advanced as they **need** to be. The fact that 40k orcs are silly stupid idiots speaks leagues about the state of the other factions, and to be fair that is a common theme of 40k. Everyones civilization is in the shitter and everyone just scraping by in a grim universe. If other factions were at their peak or a true fight were to emerge, the orks would probably become something like the Krork again, but after said conflict they'd probably go back to being our familar orks.
The real question is, are the Tyrannids actually the Krork? The shadow in the warp, just a powerful waaagh!? Purple being one of the ‘nids primary colors, making them invisible to orks; both species are a diverse ecosystem of life forms, that desire nearly the same thing, to fight and consume, with similar tactics. The C’tan could be Eldar Gods? The entirety of the war in heaven could be eldar vs old ones. C’tan sounds like Satan, nightbringer like lightbringer; the C’tan corrupt the necrontyr, but the necrontyr corrupt the C’tan as well; the krork are corrupted by the eldar, but the eldar aren’t corrupted by another species, they are self corrupting.
I think the whole being stronger during war and getting weaker with no war was the leash the old ones had in mind for kork. Like if the old ones won the war, they simply just have to have some peace then just let the korks devolve to oblivion.
Fully appreciate the style and tone of this! I'm an old fogey (32) who's been playing for not far off 20 years and this is one of the best lore videos around. Subscribed and looking forward to more!

Hard to really fathom what a game about the war in heaven would even really look like, given it's less a traditional time period and more an entire cosmic age. What with the 20 million year span and all, when compared to the 40 thousand year reign of mankind its basically inconcievable what the galaxy must have been like. I personally feel like if any official resources on the war in heaven were released they'd just end up being distilled and lacking. I prefer the awe commanding specatacle that the ambiguity of the war in heaven is as we (don't) understand it today.

Can't blame you. We'll be going into Kultures and more orky goodness when the PA finally comes round to us. I think we';re all hoping its going to be good. :)
The Ork Boyz are my favorite sci-fi race. There is no one powerful enough to take them on at full strength, so they nerf themselves and basically half ass it while waiting on someone to step up to reality shattering star eating time bending level. Then they will get serious. I love em.
I've noted that Orkz behave very similarly to something like an immune system to the galaxy and its inhabitants. Their technology has a few consistent points, like Shokk attack guns, but at large, an Orkz guns, vehicles, and weapons are largely determined by what is being fielded against them, that they can loot or imitate. This means they can't just assert tech dominance over someone (Unless they've recently stolen from someone else), but they'll also scale to a similar threat level to whoever is around, meaning you can't get such a huge technology lead over them that they'll ever become insignificant. The Ork Boy is pretty dangerous to anyone, but at large, whether you're a fringe planet just dipping their toes into their solar neighborhood, or peak 30K humanity, Orkz represent a relatively consistent threat level that are too powerful to ignore, but not powerful enough to overwhelm any but the truly unprepared (Unless they have the misfortune of being near someone else more advanced). If you're a stable, established empire, there really isn't much Orkz can do to you. They'll crash against your defensive borders endlessly, and they might even breach it every now and then, but the realistic threat they pose is minimal, though they make sure you can't set easy. However, the moment you DON'T have established, protected territory, Orkz start taking advantage of thinned defenses, exposed supply lines, and broken formations, and once they really dig their heels in, getting rid of them is difficult. Orkz are also incredibly adaptable. Demons, space bugs, alien robot skeletons, Orkz don't care. WAAAGH! prevents Orkz from being countered by any slight definitional ability, whether it's protecting their minds from demonic influence, or making mechs out of bug carcasses. Orkz are nigh universally equipped to combat any novel threat to galactic stability. Beyond their first application, Orkz seem almost perfectly engineered to maintain a certain degree of battle readiness, give way to other species as they rise, should they prove themselves worthy, and be the first, and occasionally final line of defense against new, unknowable threats.

In regards to the claim that the Imperium rules the galaxy around 45:00 : The Imperium claims rulership over 1 million planets. Sounds like a lot. There are 200 billion stars in "our" galaxy, each home to multiple planets that could be made livable(as seen by the fact the most imperial systems have multiple inhabited planets). So the Imperium rules over somewhere in between 1/200.000th to 1/1000.000th of the galaxy. There is a lot of "empty" space left. >:D

It’s 2am and I haven’t been able to sleep more than an hour at a time for the last four days (medical problems, yuck), and when I heard your dulcet tones followed by the harmonious duet with Orkimedes I immediately smiled and relaxed for what’s likely the first time this month. It’s hard to communicate the psychological value you bring to so many of us, so please take this as my ham-fisted attempt to do so. 😊 I spent Christmas and New Years in the hospital (along with most of December and January), and your oral company made it far more comfortable than I had any right to be.

If the re-evaluation to krork is a matter of number, the orks will be again krork. It's only a matter of time. You can eradicate them totally. They only multiply.

As much of an Imperium fanboy as I am, I can’t deny the raw appeal of DA ORKZ. They add the perfect amount of comedic relief to the Grim Darkness of the Far Future to keep the setting from growing bland, while still being enough of a credible threat to keep my interest. I gladly accept the theory that Orkz have grown into the unintended role of the galaxy’s immune system, partly because it prevents the Great Game from ending, and partly because they offer a far more intriguing “end point” to the story than the supposedly “inevitable” victory of the Ruinous Powers.

The Krork is the Ork's final form.
They are working their way back to that level.
orks are the sayajins of wh40k

War in Heaven deserves its own game, so much potential!

"Can there be maximum dakka and not enough?" ORKRATES
Stoopid umiez there nevah enuff dakka
I literally got a chill at "little green friend"! That was spot on!
Amazing video done for the happiest race in the warhammer 40k universe. Loving all the lore you do, with you're awesome voice just making it seem like a actual warhammer character is talking.
In the end it wouldn't surprise me to see orks and tyranids being the only lifeforms remaining locked in an eternal war.

I feel like the orks are that kid on the play ground that always changes the rules so they come out on top.

While the children of Nurgle are the happiest of 40k the orks are a close second and are jolly fellows to spar with
