@Kaybaptista his position responsibility is to crash the backfired and either tackle the ball carrier or make the QB hand off the ball( it's called zone read) that's what the Ravens ran. He did his job by crashing down on the play forcing the QB to make a decision with the ball. The other players on his team absolutely didn't not do their job wilbacker or middlebacker should have been running the crescent and crashing down on the edge and making the tackle on the ball carrier. Micah's job was to crash and make the QB declare what he was going to do.
If you take the time to watch the film and break it down, the backers and DBs have zero eye control. They all move or flow towards the way the o-line flows which if you did break down the tape you see where that resulted in a 1yrd pass to a completely uncovered tightend with no one within 30yds of him. Also those same players get confused on motion and handing off assignments which results in 3 backers trying to crash the same hole and the motion guy or the zone read not having anyone containing the opposite edge from Micah he can't set the edge on both ends.
So yes they have a lot of young players or players in general that have to allow themselves to be coached in assignments. Then what ever your assignment on a play is you protect your assignment then when you get 11 players willing to do that rather than everyone going into business for themselves trying to be Stat collectors you have a much better solid defense. That's why elite and iconic defenses where masters of the smallest detail and owning and mastering their assignments. The second you don't have cohesion in a defensive unit you don't have anything. That's why coaching is so important, raw talent will get you noticed and a chance to be on a team, willingness and ability to allow yourself to be coated is what keeps you on a team and gets you paid. If your a Stat collector their isn't any place on the team around the team or coaches. If you follow your assignments you will actually put together a great career and Stat lines.
So in actual football terms and film study Micah was where he was supposed to be. If you look back over the film you will see on multiple occasions they left Micah unblocked because they knew the other players weren't going to maintain their assignments and just leave Micah uncovered and pull that blocker to get in the way downfield for a chunk play. That's why it takes all 11 on defense allowing themselves to be coached up an and then staying on the same page each person following their assignment and not worrying what the other guy does he's following his assignment.
The problem that the Cowboys fans have is not just the 2 losses (blowouts). It’s every problem we’ve seen the last 4 years from lack of rush defense, lack of RB depth, lack of coaching (play calls), lack of offseason moves, etc. all compiling into these last 2 games. It’s something fans have been very vocal about since 2020
As an outsider and an Eagles fan that’s what it looks like to me. It’s hard as a fan seeing what’s wrong and nothing changes year after year. We are still dealing with lingering bullshit this year

I think he means most of the game it was. I personally thought it was gonna be again until Dak and Co. came back in the 4th and almost turned it around. It was 28-6 before that I think and it was looking really bad before they rallied back and won. I think this year is probably a wash for you guys and next year you will have a different coach and maybe Jerry will take a step back and let y’all’s team actually have a shot at contention. I don’t think you guys can go far enough with the leadership above the team, that’s what’s holding the Cowboys back imo

I have been saying that……. Micah is a great player , but with him at 250 lbs. at DE and OSA at 280 lbs. at the 1-tech we are just small on the line. I am not blaming anyone because it takes all 53 and everybody made mistakes. That being said if CeeDee doesn't fumble and McCarthy lets Aubrey kick that long FG the Cowboys possibly have 10 more points. I am not that mad about the loss because we just played the #1 seed from the AFC playoffs last year and almost pulled it out. The Ravens played the same way the entire 60 minutes, they didn't take their foot off the gas they are just notoriously a bad 2nd half team. The fact y’all shit on parsons like he’s the only reason they lost is absurd. He doesn’t cover all 11 guys. It’s 11v11 not 1v11 him and dak need the whole entire team to step up besides aubrey. Dlaw, Mazi, Chauncey, the secondary as a whole all need to step it up fast. Micah gets double & triple teamed most of the game so what more can he do with 2-3 guys on him when our DC doesn’t move him around and play him at his original drafted LB position he was way more effective at
There's also plenty of times when teams don't even bother to block Micah because they know he'll make the wrong decision and be out of place and not be able to make the play. So no, he's not being double and triple teamed as often as yall wanna think he is.
