Dope track Landmarq. Magnetic Coast expansion sounds Tuff!! I like that you got the Maschine mk3 and Maschine Jam in combination and you actually use them properly as they supposed to be used. I've seen most musicians of note have their Jam parked up like they don't realize what it can really do to enhance the Maschine experience. Props King

@@Landmarq The Jam is very underrated. Personally I can do practically everything on just the Jam but I use Mikro to finger drum and launch clips and samples live on the pads. Your use of it is ill and you definitely got skill. Respect

That expansion has a couple of great sounds, and Ive started to lean towards expansion packs vs sample kits as of late because of it.
The expansions also have presets for other NI instruments, like Massive for example. I forgot to mention that

Hahah normally I would just separate the samples into another group, and then add the FX to the whole group instead of on every pad. But I was rushing since I was filming

Could you not use polyphony set to one instead of choke groups to stop samples from overlapping? I'm still learning. Nice beat as always from you!
If you are hitting the same pad over and over again, that’s when changing the polyphony will help with the overlapping sample. So I will usually do both. Set a choke group for multiple pads AND change the polyphony for single pads
Hey landmarq, maybe i missed a previous video, why do you use maschine jam, why not do all the sequencing through the daw. patterns and scenes - thanks jj
I use the Jam just to trigger different patterns when I’m deciding how to arrange the song. I could just create different scenes and select the patterns, then lay them out in the timeline, but before I do that, I like to try out what I think will be a good arrangement. It’s hard to get a feel for a good flow just using the mouse to trigger different patterns. With the Jam I can click multiple patterns at the same time as the song loops. It’s not necessary, but it is helpful. And it’s just fun lol
Sound like house music can u do an in depth tutorial on using these expansion packs to make something modern like say a Zaytoven or ever UK drill
I’ll get creative in future episodes for sure, using different genre expansions together and seeing what I can come up with

Hey what are the padding/stands you have your studio monitors on? I'm looking for something like that for mine but don't see them around. My studio space doesn't have room for my stands anymore and I need to put my monitors on top of my desk.

Bruh I’ve got a question 😊 If you have any info or can find out. How come NI has abandoned the imaschine app? I was building a channel around it and the app began to malfunction and nothing I’ve attempted will straighten it out. I’ve E-mailed Mick Benjamin’s and sent him messages on Twitter ( No Response), I’ve been to NI sessions & Events here in L.A. (These Guys don’t know), Talked to the company sales staff on phone and no one can give me any info. I bought a Push 2 to go with all of my NI gear to move forward but that takes me in a different direction. Do you have any info or can ya find out if there will be an imaschine3. BTW: Good video. One Firedog to another 🚒
I know as a company they have shifted a lot of their efforts into software development. I know they are working heavily on the Maschine software and it’s workflow, but I don’t know if that includes the imaschine app. I hadn’t heard anything about the app in a while... and stay safe out there homie 🚒

What you think about the new Akai MPC One against die Maschine?
I haven’t used an MPC in a long time, but my friends that have it love it because it adds great elements to their workflow. I think that Accurate Beats would have a better opinion because he uses both and can navigate them with ease. Look him up and see if he’ll do a comparison vid! I wanna know too! Lol

Just an FYI, if you’re rocking MAC OS 10.11, the newest expansion WONT WORK! Found out the hard way... It would’ve been nice to know beforehand!

I’m using 10.11 El Captain. My other expansions work, just not this new one. My beef is that this is just the expansion pack; why make it so you HAVE to upgrade to another computer for an expansion pack? I can understand about the actual Maschine software; you have a choice in the matter to upgrade or just stay where you are. Expansion packs shouldn’t be like that in my opinion. At least if you’re going to, let the buyer know beforehand.

Depends on the music you want to make but for me sample packs removes the art of digging so are a big no no.
