Masakazu san who played Kyoshiro really didn't age from the first one. hopefully, I get to see the complete drama on this one.

I presume you mean that soap opera, the Women of Osaka Castle. I've never seen such overreacting to nothing in my life. I love this channel, but that's the worst "samurai drama" I've ever seen.

Sort of . The original Nemuri was Tsuruta Koji who made 3 films in the 50’s , Raizo Ichikawa came next and is the best and most famous Nemuri . He died after the 12th film and was replaced by Matsukata Hiroki for the last two films . Katoka Takao headed up the first Tv series for NTV and lasted for two seasons . Tamura Masakazu took over the role for the Fuji Tv series which is also 42:36 two seasons with 5 Tv movies the last being in 2018 .
You can see in these 2 NK movies that TM has little sword skills as his sword action is not exhibited as opposed to Raizo ichikawa who was trained in Kabuki and swordsmanship.Anyhoo these 2 movies are excellent though the surreal nonsense at the end fails to add anything t o the movie.
