As someone who's just finished NEET PG and is about to get into Internal Medicine, I still read Guyton every now and then, just because how fun it is to read it. I fell in love with the subject because of it.
My advice would be make your own notes from Guyton in a way that helps with the exam.

As this is a burning question ki Ganong or Guyton...
Guyton gives an awesome understanding of the subject only if we make notes along with it,but not information...Direct one liners are asked sometimes which are tough to find in the huge guyton...And making notes in 1st year is something MBBS people wont do..5 out of 100 per say...But GANONG takes you out of Physio to make you understand why you need to know a fact...Say the Synapse..it tells you ki "ha bhai ye padhega to ANS me pharma me help hoga"...At least ENDOCRINE,CNS AND GENERAL PHYSIO has to be covered from GANONG...moreover being a LANGE book it is in par with Harrisons which eventually we gotta read...Myself a second year MB,I had read GANONG only(and passed decently)...At least I can say GANONG indeed is better...Ninja>>>DR NAJEEB when it comes to information...At least go for Biochem videos of Ninja Nerd.

    Best resources for Physiology-
    Indian author-all are crap
    Good for passing exams
    Foreign books superb-
    2Gs[Ganong and Guyton]
    Ganong-
    Condensed
    Very tough to understand
    Best book---->NCERT
    Guyton-
    Easy
    Storybook
    You won't remember anything.
    Better book -
    Guyton > Ganong
    Use Guyton
    Always make notes
Use an Indian author for wxam purposes.
    OR
Read Ganong ( sir did it)
    Video resources-
    Dr. Najeeb
    Ninja need
    Kaplan/Becker videos.
For last day- BRS( review book) + notes of Guyton
For clinical cases-Use pretest and case files

Would love to have a reference source since UG counseling has been delayed and also it'll help me understand what should be my approach towards note making.....since I have a tendency to kinda print the book in my notes which is not good.
