You clearly mean no disrespect intended but one is never to take a relic apart. Relics should be turned over to the local pastor of a Catholic Church. I’m not sure where you are located but the Catholic Church is very strong and alive here in Louisiana.
Please bring this holy relic to a priest or Bishop.

I did not take it apart. I just took the back off to see if the wax seal was there because a lot of fakes are on the market. I did not disturb the relic or cut the strings.
Spoke to my local parish and the priest is going to venerate and bless the parishioners with these. We are getting together shortly. I will also be loaning them out to a few local churches and have them go on tour around New York.
I just spoke to another priest and in August I will be sharing these with his parish too. I cannot give them away for free because I paid for them with my credit card and it will take at least a few years to pay it back.
I can't afford to lose the thousands of dollars I spent on them. I will not be selling these and will unselfishly loan them out to as many churches as I can.
