Although the nature of this storyline is a little dark the whole grooming issue needs to be highlighted. And two months into the storyline I think Lucy Fallon (Bethany Platt) & Christoper Harper (Nathan Curtis) have so far done well in making this a slow burner. And Nathan has history with cafe waitress Shona as well.... I mean what was Nathan doing following her around Christmas last year. Apparently Bethany will have to sleep with other man as a favour for Nathan as it sounds like he's in cahoots with someone else about a 'sex ring'. Very dark for Corrie, but with under 16's tuning in as well I think it wise it is screened in it's usual 19:30 & 20:30 pm timeslots to suit that age group.
A few online have even said they want Pat Phelan to kill Nathan off. Maybe he finds out he did the same with his daughter and her son turns out to be Faye's boyf, currently in a Young Offenders for assaulting Faye's ex. What a twist that'd be as Nathan's story with Shona has hinted at their past and possibly that he's Clayton's dad. That could be possible, as Shona doesn't name who it is, but that could just be a red herring. Even though Chris Harper can't stay in Corrie as this character at least he could do any of the other soaps. I'd like him as a new doctor in Casualty - not just so I can see how he looks in scrubs. Unfortunately in real life I'd have no luck, but a girl can ttry! 😁
No, i don't like the thought of Pat Phelan to be liked. I want them to keep him absolutely vile. He is by far one of the best villains in a soap since Richard Hillman.
They may be cute saleena, but just recently Nathan's been displaying his true colours towards Bethany - especially after she slept with Neil. He obviously enjoys being violent towards women - as he seems to switch his temperament just like that ... And what was that all about when Bethany was explaining herself following being chased up by Nathan and chatting to Mary in the flower shop, when he randomly turned up his hi-fi with Robbie Williams 'I Love My Life'. I'm guessing it's just another way he can manipulate Bethany into dancing for him like a puppet to his tune. I am hoping Mel Maguire his assistant in the tanning salon, 'ex' girlfriend and apparent 'real girlfriend' will decide enough is enough and report him, Neil & Ian for exploiting young girls. Neil's a police officer (he said he was in security), so he should know better. 🤔

It's an interesting storyline and obviously portrays that this kinda stuff happens out there in real life. The guy that plays Nathan acts his character so well lol 😬
I second that Kelly. He reminds me a bit of Ricky Wilson from the Keiser Chiefs... I predict a riot by the end of this storyline - and Gary Windass amongst others will be glad to see the back of him !
