Thank you for the advice. I am looking forward to decide whether I am taking the 3 months or one year subscription… A guy advised me to take the whole year but I really want to finish it for 3 months
Hi! You’re most welcome Katrin (: if you are able to commit 3 months of intensive study then GO for it! If you have a busy schedule, then go for 1 year. Do take note that you will probably loose momentum if you are studying it for too long hence i would suggest to go for 3 months! (: the faster you clear OSCP, the faster you can continue with the follow up certs 👍🏻 all the best i know you can do it ☺️
@@xannsecurity thank you for the advise! I have a question. If you fail then how much is the exam for the second time? I can’t see prices for just the exam.
Hi! Based on my knowledge its $249 for its OSCP Certification Exam Retake Fee with a cool down of 6 weeks! Here is your reference: www.offsec.com/courses/pen-200/
@@xannsecurity i won a scholarship to take oscp. My company pay for that, that one year subscription ($2499) and i would like to know if the material there is enough to take that exam. I earn EJPT and i know the basis. But windows it's a problem for me. My plan is take all non-ad machines and earn that certifications if windows is not covered well on that exam. How difficult are windows environment?
hi! congratulations on scholarship! i would suggest you to put focus on windows machine regardless as it contains 40 points which is half of the passing mark. There are many cases where non-AD boxes are hard to break in hence you will instantly fail if you avoid AD at all costs. Face your fear and you can do it (: !
Its like the singaporean accent is so strong, i recognized it instantly😅 congrats bro, i just completed Google Cybersecurity Cert and hope to be working in cybersec with just sec+ and oscp

Thanks for the video is the new 2023 Pen200 course enough to pass the OSCP? I feel like TJ HTB list is outdated. It seems like the Pen200 upgrade syllabus cover most the topics.
Personally for me, yes it is ! The list is just there for you to try and sharpen your overall skills (enum, look for the right exploits, executing and enum) ! Hope this helps (:
For the AD exam, what do you mean by the full exploit chain?? As in is it there will be 1 local + 1 proof.txt in each machine, meaning 3 local 3 proof.txt =6 files to get for the AD set? Or as long as we get a foothold in each machine and root the DC is sufficient for 40 points?
Hi! i was studying cybersecurity for my degree when i study for this cert. Nope, i wasnt working and didnt had any experience from the working industry. Hope that helps!
Sorry haha I am in the middle of the video so if by the end you answer this I'll just subscribe instead ;) if not then I look forward to your future videos anyways
Hi! great question! Yes i have reviewed the new content and i would say now is more fresh, up to date and relavant! The topics that were removed are deem as old and no longer working in this current advanced world BUT they have moved it to a the junior modules such as PEN-100 instead of the existing PEN-200. Other parts are either being merged or sub-divided but generally still the same (: Hope that helps! Here you can see the table provided by offsec: www.offsec.com/offsec/pen-200-2023/
Brother I'm doing CEH, after that will i be able to give oscp with preparation from free resources like thm, htb, utube etc ? Or i need to purchase the course from offensive security, and how much time will it take to practice and then give exam of oscp?
Hi! HTB and THM are slightly different from offsec labs hence i would recommend you to follow my guide on studying the 3 basic THM modules before enrolling into the OFFSEC contents which i took 3 months + 1 month of the THM. Do take note the offsec materials are heavy and need pure hardwork when studying! Hope this helps (:
Yerp i have tried HTB before my entire journey but didnt include as part of my overall progress as that time I didn’t have the intention to do OSCP (: hope that helps 👍🏼
