Morgan! This was awesome. Thanks for the morning story! I appreciate your time and effort to amuse us all. Please publish this as a dark kids book. I laughed so hard at the ending even though, having seen your sense of humor, I figured that was coming!
Red foxes are native to northern New England. There are colonial records of them, and DNA shows all red foxes in the Eastern states are related to those of Eastern Canada and have no relationship to European red foxes. Gray foxes are the most primitive canid in existence. They divergent from the rest of the dog family 10 to 12 million years ago.
Love it! Like the little gray fox, i am home alone this Thanksgiving day. But am Grateful for the roof over my head, my comfy bed, my little propane heater, and for you, Morgan. Chai tea and a story... What a sweet way to start my day. Thank you ❤
Actually, new research shows that the american red fox is indeed a native species! It migrated to north america in the illinoian glaciation 300,000 to 130,000 years before today. The north american red fox is therefore distinct from the eurasian fox! This was shown with genetic research :)
**I ABSOLUTELY LOVED + TOTALLY ENJOYED, THIS WONDERFUL LITTLE STORY!! THANK U, MORGAN, AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING, TO YOU + ALISON!! GOD BLESS YOU, BOTH!!**
Happy Turkey Day Morgan to you and yours...🍂🍂🍂 🦃🦃🦃🍁🍁🍁 Enjoy it!!! You always find a way to make me chuckle... the way you end the story... so blasé... 😊😊😊
Hahahahahaha, 🤣 I didn't expect this delightful story. I still enjoy simple short stories like those that I read when I was young in the 50's and 60's. Thanks for the "telling"! And so even though I don't have a Thanksgiving Gobble Gobble Day celebration with anyone this year (I sure miss those big dinners of years past) I am hoping that a lot of people are going to have a nice holiday with friends and family and feel satiated and be smiling today! 😊
I thought the story was going to end as a Thanks Giving story with the fox pardoning the mouse.... but the end was brutally unexpected and honest.... just as humans won't pardon the Turkey they are going to eat! :P I loved the realistic point of view that Nature is often cruel... at least the mouse was eaten in a single piece and with no pain ;) (which is not often the case in nature). Thanks for entertaining us, Morgan! ❤
I always have mix feelings about story like this. Not that they're bad, being grateful for what you have is very important. But there's nothing wrong in wanting more in life, that's just human nature. If Rapunzel never wanted more in life she would never have left her tower and found true love, if people were content on their current lifestyles we wouldn't have inventors and innovation and we would still be cavemen. If Morgan was content with his old life he would never had started a farm. You can be grateful for what you have but dont be content with living life like that forever. Like the autumn leaves change is inportant for new growth. If you have dreams or still want more out of your life, chase it even if it means you have to leave the safety of the life u always know. That fox would never have learn what pine needles tasted like, or the life of his fellow animals, or understood his feelings about gratitude if he never took the step to venture out and see and try new things in the first place. Be grateful, but don't be content. Happy Thanksgiving y'all ❤
Funny thing, I just came home from a bit of a drive and I have about 11 minutes before my next prayer. So I've logged on to You Tube to see if Morgan has uploaded anything for me. I'm not disappointed ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Morgan, my favorite story teller has always been Andy Griffith but you are a close second. If you have never heard it listen to his story about playing football. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Allison.
Good thing he didn't talk to Tobby dog who just seem so content with his life, the little fox would have been back to his tree with envy instead of gratitude!
Thank you for one more amazing fabel Morgan! And the ending😂 Happy thanksgiving to you and your family. Looking forward to hear many more thoughtful, funny stories from you for many years to come.
Now that was a story of Thanksgiving for sure! You had my full attention because I love nothing more than a good story with a lesson. Thank you Morgan, I hope you and Allison have a Happy Thanksgiving!🦃🫎🦊🐻🐭💕👍
some called it a dump but it was his stump and proud of it was he digging in holes for mice and moles as happy as a fox could be Winter reared its snowy crown the little gray fox was feeling down so up he went to find food he tried to sneak up on a goose was almost trampled by a moose things weren't looking good the little gray fox ran through the trees trying to find anything to ease the hunger he was feeling he smelled the most amazing scent it led to a cave, so in he went when a loud roar sent him reeling I'm a mama bear expecting cubs a black mass growled at fox from above fox fell flat to the floor of the den laughing the bear said, don't worry you foxes are stringy and hard to chew I'd rather go after the farmer's hens with a sigh of relief fox slunk back out the bear bid farewell with a huff and a shout and fox headed home to sleep as he walked, he thanked the snow as rabbit tracks began to show when across his path, a mouse did leap fox snatched it, and mouse briefly cowered before by fox he was devoured that's just nature as it goes the little gray fox finally reached his bed a nest of leaves in a maple den and he curled his tail o'er his nose Winter winds did screech and wail but fox was cozy 'neath his tail and he thought of his day with the goose and the moose and the bear oh no place would he rather be not cave nor clearing, just his maple tree and so he slept and dreamt of voles and mice and hare
Seeing you preps me for something that happened on the farm, so when I realized you were telling a story, it threw me a bit even though you’re a good story-teller. If I may: it would be better not to see you bc you’re the narrator. Make it look like a storybook illustration, even if a rough version. Find pics online and have AI make them appear hand-drawn, or draw cut-outs yourself like you did the mouse. Only need one drawing per character except the main one who should have a few: sitting, sleeping, hunting, etc. Also, give them names, super-simple ones: the grey fox is Grey; the black bear is Blackie… just so it flows better, and name it: A Fox Story About Gratitude. (Other stories: A Bear Story About Honey to keep it consistent.) Then, so it comes full circle, at the end have the fox return to his den w/a full belly to take a nap in his safe bed, feeling very content about his life.
Absolutely love the story telling in this one. It is very sing-song in nature tho there was lots of missed rhyming opportunities. Seemed like a great first draft of a new book 😊
you are such a good storyteller, it has always been a profession.
A wonderful way to start a Thanksgiving morn; listening to Morgan telling a story about being gratiful. Happy Turkey Day!
Morgan! This was awesome. Thanks for the morning story! I appreciate your time and effort to amuse us all. Please publish this as a dark kids book. I laughed so hard at the ending even though, having seen your sense of humor, I figured that was coming!
Thank you Morgan for keeping me company while I get this turkey in the oven. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Alison ❤❤

Just how I thought that story should end! Nature is Nature.
Indeed, critters have to eat, it's nothing personal.
I was hoping the little grey fox would meet the kindly poultry farmer.
was the farmer gifting his wife a muff or new pair of mittens?

Happy turkey day to everyone who celebrates 🦃
I'm glad you ended the story as you did. Children who may have been listening need to know how nature really works.

This was adorable! Thanks for sharing. Happy Thanksgiving!
Fish gotta swim, birds gotta eat...
Wonderfully worded and told, to the last sound, Morgan Gold!!!
some called it a dump
but it was his stump
and proud of it was he
digging in holes
for mice and moles
as happy as a fox could be
Winter reared its snowy crown
the little gray fox was feeling down
so up he went to find food
he tried to sneak up on a goose
was almost trampled by a moose
things weren't looking good
the little gray fox ran through the trees
trying to find anything to ease
the hunger he was feeling
he smelled the most amazing scent
it led to a cave, so in he went
when a loud roar sent him reeling
I'm a mama bear expecting cubs
a black mass growled at fox from above
fox fell flat to the floor of the den
laughing the bear said, don't worry you
foxes are stringy and hard to chew
I'd rather go after the farmer's hens
with a sigh of relief fox slunk back out
the bear bid farewell with a huff and a shout
and fox headed home to sleep
as he walked, he thanked the snow
as rabbit tracks began to show
when across his path, a mouse did leap
fox snatched it, and mouse briefly cowered
before by fox he was devoured
that's just nature as it goes
the little gray fox finally reached his bed
a nest of leaves in a maple den
and he curled his tail o'er his nose
Winter winds did screech and wail
but fox was cozy 'neath his tail
and he thought of his day with the goose and the moose and the bear
oh no place would he rather be
not cave nor clearing, just his maple tree
and so he slept and dreamt of voles and mice and hare
Thought this was SaveAFox channel for a split second, Michael J and Vivica A Fox approve!
