- An episode of the popular snooker break from 1985 taken from an old VHS. Sound is a little low due to degeneration of the tape.
Starts with the 1979 entertainer

1985 musical montage "With a little bit of luck"
Ted Lowe and Jack Karnehm chat with David
Joe Davis v John Pulman
Clive Everton discusses the talent of Walter Lindrum
John Virgo discusses cues, tips and shots etc.
Gosh, good old David Vine and Ted Lowe together. Those were the happy days for snooker and such familiar voices - you heard them then you knew snooker was on TV ! We don't have people like them anymore.
great historical stuff! thanks
The year of Davis/Taylor final. Classic stuff! 👏👏👏
I wish it had been Silver Fox David though, and not the Irish show-off.

Jack Karnehm was a voice of wisdom in snooker 17:13
How I agree!
Some great billiard stuff too
💙
Did they broadcast this due to both semifinals finishing with a session to spare?
I think so!
Unlikely, back in the early 80s, these snooker breaks were regular features during the World Championship. They continued until the 90s at least.
Great to hear from these refs legends
What a player Lindrum was! Would love to see what the modern pros could do on the old tables, cloths, ivory balls etc. I have a feeling with a bit of practice they would have no problem racking up tons.
