For anyone who doubts Beyoncé’s sincerity, she has praised, emulated, referenced and honored MJ consistently for over 4 decades. He obviously also admired and loved her. We don’t need to compare these two great artists and humans because they have both devoted their lives to giving us music, passion, power and healing. Undoubtedly they will also continue to inspire future generations who will try to aim just as high as they did.
Will always respect Beyonce, arguably the biggest star in the world right now, for championing Michael and carrying on his legacy.

When Beyonce says she wouldn't be doing what she does without Michael, I believe she meant that not only from the perspective of musical inspiration but for the barriers Michael broke down (smashed) so others can walk through. Michael didn't just change music but the world for the better. And Beyonce will always have my love, especially for doing what she believed was right at the 2006 World Music Awards. When other artists and celebrities turned down presenting Michael with his award (or demanded exorbitant amounts of $$$ to do so), she was there and did it with honor and love.
