One of the best parts of palworld is the fact you can choose how to treat your pals. Wanna rule over them with a cruel iron fist? Go ahead. Wanna treat them with love and respect? You sure can do that! Unlike other monster catchers where you have no option, in this game you have freedom to treat them the way you prefer, and it's meaningful
the best part about palworld and it's controversy is that you can CHOOSE to be as wholesome or messed up as you want and in turn makes it more meaningful because you are choosing to and not just told "you're such a kind person" by a railroaded story with predetermined events
Tbh my biggest mistake was never making a shield. I thought it was a dome shield for your base not a personal one so I didn't bother crafting it till I was at least tier 40 😅
I started playing palworld and hardly ever mine… the pals are happy to do all that. Then I build nice things for them, set everything self sustaining, and craft a mass of pal spheres to “recruit” more pals. You can choose to be evil, but I choose to build it better.
Love this Channel already. Usually in games like this, you have to battle or kill someone. So I like this approach of choosing if you should kill people or keep everyone you can alive. I love that kind of freedom in games. I'm a pacifist when it comes to the choice of killing or befriending everyone in games as well. I get attached to characters way too easily. I haven't even played Palworld myself, but this concept alone sounds awesome.
No Man's Sky. I love the feeling of having started from Zero to suddenly being a Captain of a Massive Freighter ship. I also love living as a Space Pirate, smuggling and robbing from other freighters.

Honestly, I love palworld, I played it on launch, still play it, but I never do the hardcore murder everyone thing, I actually have this odd reflex to save wild pals from the evil "Humans" (If they can be called that...)

Well I'd mostly been playing palworld as well though i mostly treated the pals well, murdered anything aggressive w/ extreme prejudice and tended to try to fight higher lv bosses than me to... actually pretty good success if I rotated my mons around and recalled them to dodge bigger attacks. I didn't do much base building aside from just... the actual functional things for a while till more of the end game though as resources were sucky till i found the good ore/coal base. I managed to beat the final tower boss well before level 50 though so i sorta just kinda spent the rest of the time trying to get a perfect frostallion alpha which I just about did and sorta started breeding up really good pals from there. I generally treated my pals pretty well though, giving them the best beds, giving em nice salads to make em happy and productive and generally making sure they were happy and healthy. I did catch npcs that were aggressive if an opportunity presented itself and some merchants because their friggen buy to sell ratio are highway robbery and they made me hate them for it but other than the merchants who are god damn thieves I hadn't tried to catch anyone else who wasn't aggressive as that just seemed unnecessary. i think i only butchered like 1 of each the legend pals immediately after catch where i did a thing where I closed the game if i did not get the legend blueprint before it could auto save repeatedly so that i'd not need to beat a billion of the bosses to get them and other than that didn't really bother w/ butchering. I do fuse my pals often or sell off unneeded ones to the pal merchant though as he seems less likely to abuse em than the black marketeer.
I really like the animation in this one! Very simple, nice and cozy. As for which games been playing recently, that would be Half Life 2 and Limbus Company.

But since now they are working their ess off building your base and doing your bidding, the pals demand payment. And building a bed and feeding them is a form of payment. This is what we call "FAIR TRADE" in the modern days.
The devs are also very supportive of their fans, fan art, mods, you name it. No direct mention of Fan games, but judging by their rights in regard to fan made content... It's possible they will be okay with fan games as long as ZERO money is made and that they specify it's not an official Pocket Pair game. Which if so... Better than certain Monster Capture games we know about.
No idea who this content creator is since eshe popped up randomly in NY feed, but I agree on many points with the views on Palworld. That said, Palworld is just so damn fun you get kinda roped into many if the features.
Palworld seems alright at the start, but it degrades into Chinese sweatshop simulator almost immediately when you realize that you don't have to do anything by yourself. My personal favorite for a few months now is the Enshrouded. which seems more suited to my taste and building system is amazing.

I too had to compromise with Palworld when I started. However, of all things, I never spend tech points of the butcher knife. With that, learned to be a leader in knowing how to incorporate all sorts of pals, no matter their passives. But I have to say, the pall essence condenser was a hard decision I was willing to make.
Worldless is one of the best games I've ever played. It's really underrated. I also love Sea Of Stars. Alien Hominid invasion is also a masterpiece that has online multiplayer. Avatar Frontiers of pandora is also great.

I usually work while my pal just loitering around in my base, and they will help me out sometimes if they feel like it. there's only six main pals that I bring in my team that are always help me with things when I let them out while doing work in base.
Funny thing is you can also get meat from pals by catching them without butchering them. Where that meat come from? I have no idea. Also you can craft a feed bag, and make tons of baked berries once your base has a berry farm, and it is viable to eat only baked berries. Is it possible to make a wholesome run that is viable? Absolutely, but it may be a little bit hard to do it. Just gotta keep your damage output controlled so you can cath them without killing, escaping from aggressive pals, and of course rescue pals from villain camps. I think eliminating the thugs, and tower bosses is fine, right?

I played it the same way you did, i think it's not that games are violent but eventually are violent the people who play them, so if you want to play Palworld as a cozy survival game you can. No butch, nopals that are slaves just sharing everything with them both pain and joy. The game im having fun with right now is Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the latest Pokémon games in the franchise. Although it could be glitchy and buggy sometimes, it's still a really fun game!
In Doom Eternal you start with a shot gun, your task? Save Earth from the armies of Hell. You shoot and kill until you kill one of three hell priests , you then try to kill the others but they run away. Afterwards you find one of them and fight his “greatest creation” three times. Afterwards you chop off his head. All while doing this you gain guns and upgrades such as a sword and you guessed it, more guns. You then find out a Holy figure named the khan maker is doing the taking of the souls of humans and turning them to energy to keep Hell alive, she then hid the third Hell priest because without them the energy ritual will not work. You then take an old ally, Dr. Samuel Hayden. Who was greatly damaged during the attack, he somehow can locate the final priest. Then a fallen slayer called a marauder shows up and will summon hell hounds which give ptsd anytime you hear something howl. You return to your fortress where the khan maker has turned off the power and has summoned demons to kill you. You get the power up and you locate the priest, he’s in the center of mars. You then get a giant laser canon and shoot a hole through mars which Dr. Samuel Hayden quotes “You can’t just shoot a hole through mars.” You find the priest but he summons a gladiator demon for you to fight, you kill him and the priest. The khan maker is not happy about this so she tries to resurrect a titan called the Icon of Sin you stop her by releasing him on Earth, you then kill her and crash land on Earth to kill the Icon of Sin, in which you do by stabbing your sword into his brain, but this fight is not over. Your war is eternal.
In palworld I just walk around and snipe any kind of pal staying in my way. Thats all I do. And I also capture humans and lock them in some sort of prison I think. Its kinda funny. If you like pokemon then you should definitaly try this game out.

I have that same reflex too. Only sometimes the pal gets caught and wasted by the crossfire and I’m like “sacrifices had to be made” then take off.
Reward hard labor with dumud salad, pizza, bread and jam, and cake... Lots, and lots of cakes.

Ive gotten through the game with no butchering, no pal sickness or sadness, and maybe some human catching and police fighting.
