Literally last night my wife and I saw a video of a woman telling someone that he was saved, but that he had not received the Holy Spirit and she used that exact scripture from Acts 19:1-2. It had us confused.
But Verses 3 and 4 are important for the context.
You can’t create a binding theology out of a one off verse and a lack of proper context.
1 Corinthians 12:3 says that no one confesses Jesus as Savior and Lord except by the Holy Spirit.
There is no such thing as be saved without the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit is the heart agent behind salvation.
