A little tip for all non italian speakers: Double Consonants. In Italian, all consonants except h can be doubled. Double consonants are pronounced much more forcefully than single consonants. With double f, l, m, n, r, s, and v, the sound is prolonged; with double b, c, d, g, p, and t, the stop is stronger than for the single consonant. (es. "zitti" and "ziti" are 2 different words with 2 different meanings)

I will be the flame and the cold
      Shelter from winter
I will be what you breathe
      See inside your heart
      I will be your water
      What is considered good
I will also be a soldier
Or a lamp in the night
In exchange I won't ask for anything
      Just a smile
Every tear of yours feels like an ocean in my face
And in exchange I won't ask for anything

    *ENGLISH TRANSLATE*
    Tell me your truths
Coraline, Coraline, tell me your truths
Coraline, Coraline, tell me your truths
Coraline, Coraline, tell me your truths
    Coraline, Coraline
Coraline as beautiful as the sun
    Warrior with a zealous heart
    Hair like red roses
Those precious copper-like wires, my love, take them to me
If you hear the bella sing you’ll see Coraline crying
She takes in the others’ pain and then carries it within her
Coraline, Coraline, tell me your truths
Coraline, Coraline, tell me your truths
Coraline, Coraline, tell me your truths
    Coraline, Coraline
    But she knows the truth
Not everyone can go on with their heart split in two
    It’s already cold
She’s just a child but she feels like a burden and sooner or later she’ll break
People will say: “she’s worth nothing
She can’t even get out a miserable door”
But one day, at least once, she’ll manage
And I told Coraline that she can grow up
Fetch her things and then leave
But she detects a monster that keeps her in a cage, that covers her way with explosive mines
And I told Coraline that she can grow up
Fetch her things and then leave
But Coraline doesn’t want to eat, no... yes, Coraline would like to disappear.
    And Coraline cries
    Coraline is anxious
Coraline wants the sea but she’s afraid of the water
And maybe sea is inside her
And every word is an axe, a wound on the back
Like a raft sailing on a swollen river
And maybe the river is inside her, inside her
I’ll be fire, I’ll be coldness
    A repair during the winter
    Whatever you breath
    I’ll understand what’s inside you
    I’ll be drinking water
    The meaning of goodness
    I’ll also be a soldier
Or a light in the evening
And I don’t ask for anything in return
    Just a smile
Every little tear of yours is an ocean on my face
And I don’t ask for anything in return
    Just some time
I’ll be a banner, a shield, or your silver sword, and...
    And Coraline cries
    Coraline is anxious
Coraline wants the sea but she’s afraid of the water
And maybe sea is inside her
And every word is an axe, a wound on the back
Like a raft sailing on a swollen river
And maybe the river is inside her, inside her
    And tell me your truths
Coraline, Coraline, tell me your truths
Coraline, Coraline, tell me your truths
Coraline, Coraline, tell me your truths
    Coraline, Coraline
Coraline, as beautiful as the sun
She lost the fruit of her womb
    She never knew love
But a father that isn’t father-like at all
Told her : “in the city there’s a castle with walls so strong that if you go live inside it nothing will ever hurt you again
Nothing will ever hurt you again”

I just have found out about murder of Caroline by her husband in Greece. Rip little soul.
And just in case I'll leave here some tips how to recognize abusers.
    1. He tries to fasten your relationship: today was your first date, and in a three months he makes a proposal.
    2. He tries to isolate you: he says your friends are bad people and you should avoid them, or he constantly complains that you spend too much time with your friends and other stuff of this kind.
    3. He tries to move you away from your family by moving to new place, or ruining your relationships with parents.
    4. He tries to make you financially dependent on him.
    5. He tries to ruin your self-esteem making two sided compliments like "This skirt looks great on you, cause it hides your crooked legs", or "who will love you besides me?".
    6. He tries to impregnate you as soon as possible, making promises, describing how great will be parenthood.
    7. At some point he starts hurt you, but not physically, then he'll cry, crawl on his knees, saying sorry. (It's called sugar-show) Soon this situation will repeat, again and again. He'll start physically hurt you, blame you, saying it was your fault and ect. (This is right time to run away even barefooted, if you want to stay alive as long as possible).
Look up more information about abuse, signs of abuse, manipulation, gaslighting, sugar-show ect, be safe, aware and alive! Good luck!

What I am loving here is that this song is the perfect 21st century version of an italian song from the 70’s. As Italians, we can tell there’s Fabrizio de Andre’ right there! This song is coming from a short but amazing wave of intellectual (pass me the word) musicians of our 70s and 80s who made italian music history for many of us but lived shortly and were quickly replaced by pop music. Too intellectual, too much politics, too risky.
And I would have thought this kind of song and sound and structure would only appeal to me and a few other italians. Instead it is attracting young people from all around the world! This narrative way of singing is not particularly appealing to modern music industry at all, it requires the desire to commit, not to consume. If you were here you had to commit to listening or you could lose it in the first three lines, but you felt there was something more there, and you committed rather than moving in to the next product. And in a language you don’t understand? Man, that’s awesome.
That can only mean that young people around the world are profound and able to connect with the essence and the art in a way that has not been experienced before. You guys are connecting through meaning rather than languages. You can tell there’s quality behind all this, you can feel this is silk and you care about quality and you want to know more and you feel totally represented and it is so beautiful .
    This is so amazing!

    Translation
    But tell me your truth,
Coraline, Coraline, tell me your truth. x3
    Coraline, Coraline.
Coraline, as beautiful as the sun,
    Warrior with an earnest heart.
    Hair like red roses,
Bring to me those precious copper wires, my love.
    If you hear bells singing,
    You will see Coraline crying.
    She takes other people’s pain
    And carries it deep inside.
    But she knows the truth,
    Not everyone can go on
With an heart split in two parts
    And cold yet.
She’s a child, but she feels a burden
That sooner or later will break her.
    People say:”she’s good for nothing
She can’t even go out a wretched door”.
But one day, sometime, she will.
And I told Coraline she can grow,
she can take her stuff and leave,
But she feel a monster that keeps her inside a cage,
That fills her pathway with bombs.
And I told Coraline she can grow,
she can take her stuff and leave,
    But Coraline won’t eat, no.
Yes, Coraline would like to disappear.
    And Coraline cries,
    Coraline has anxiety,
Coraline wishes the sea, but she fears water
And maybe the sea is inside her.
And every word is an axe,
    A cut on her back,
Like a raft that navigates a swollen river,
And maybe the river is inside her.
I will be the fire and the cold,
    A shelter during winter,
I will be what you will breathe,
I will understand what you carry inside
And I will be water to drink,
    Meaning of “good”,
    I will be a soldier
    Or light in the dark,
I will not ask for anything in return,
    Just a smile.
Every your little tear is an ocean in my face.
And I will not ask for anything in return,
    Just a little time.
I will be an ensign, a shield or your silver sword.
    And Coraline cries,
    Coraline has anxiety,
Coraline wishes the sea, but she fears water
And maybe the sea is inside her.
And every word is an axe,
    A cut on her back,
Like a raft that navigates a swollen river,
And maybe the river is inside her.
    And tell me your truth,
Coraline, Coraline, tell me your truth. x3
    Coraline, Coraline.
Coraline, as beautiful as the sun,
She lost the fruit of her womb,
    She has never met love,
But she has a father who has nothing of a father.
They told her there is a castle in the city,

That if you live inside it,
    nothing will hurt you. X2

    La letra en español
    Pero dime tus verdades
    Coraline, Coraline, dime tus verdades
    Coraline, Coraline, dime tus verdades
    Coraline, Coraline, dime tus verdades
    Coraline Coraline
    Verás a Coraline llorando
Tomar el dolor de otras personas
    Y luego lo llevará adentro
    Coraline, Coraline, dime tus verdades
    Coraline, Coraline, dime tus verdades
    Coraline, Coraline, dime tus verdades
    Coraline, Coraline
Y a cambio no pido nada
Y a cambio no pido nada
    Sólo un poco de tiempo
    Seré tu estandarte, tu escudo
    O su espada de plata
    Y Coraline llora
    Y dime tus verdades
    Coraline, Coraline, dime tus verdades
    Coraline, Coraline, dime tus verdades
    Coraline, Coraline, dime tus verdades
    Coraline, Coraline

I can sing most of their Italian music; and understand most of the lyrics. I started learning Italian because of this band. Most of my life I've been obsessed with 3 vocalists. Stevie Nicks. Maynard James Keenan. Chris Cornell. And now Damiano David. My 3 year old son begs me to sing him Coraline and Ventanni for "nap songs, mama" and he can sing some of it too. It brings my soul joy xo

    Coraline Coraline
    Coraline bella come il sole
    Guerriera dal cuore zelante
    Capelli come rose rosse
Preziosi quei fili di rame amore portali da me
    Se senti campane cantare
    Vedrai Coraline che piange
Che prende il dolore degli altri
E poi lo porta dentro lei
Coraline, Coraline, dimmi le tue verità
Coraline, Coraline, dimmi le tue verità
Coraline, Coraline, dimmi le tue verità
    Coraline, Coraline
    E Coraline piange
    Coraline, Coraline
