I have a down comfortable on my bed and I wash it a few times a year IN the washing machine and dryer. You just have to make sure it's fully dry. I've been washing down items in the washing machine for 30 yrs without a problem. It does smell bad when it's wet but once it's dry, there's no odor.
Just wash them, the casing, in the washing machine on cold and hang to dry. I be scared to put in the dryer, I think it will shrink them. It will not hurt the fabric and if you think so put it on the delicate cycle.
Craftsman has a stick vacuum. It breaks all the way down for cleaning and you can get extra batteries for longer use. Iv had mine for over 2 years still works like new.
Vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice Sprinkle the baking soda over the spot. The lemon and vinegar will bubble and it will breakup the pee. Can also be done with a clean toilet brush too.
It won't be cheap but some dry cleaners will clean down pillows and comforters. Also it might be worth looking into waterproof washable pads that you can stick inside your cushion covers to keep the down inserts clean. I have old crib mattress pads that don't have elastic sides on them so they hold a reasonable amount of liquid and are waterproof. I have them in-between the cushion covers and the cushions on our office couch. I started doing it when my son was little and potty training. And then realized it also helps with pet accidents.
Let me tell u a secret, lol. Take the cushions out of the covers and throw the covers in the washer. I promise u they come out as clean as new... if u have stains on them, just put u some spray and wash and some dawn diswashing liquid on them.amd let it set for about an hour, then throw in the washer. I promise u u will live it😊
Lexi if you have Ryobi tools, pick up the Ryobi stick vacuum it works awesome I love this thing you can go from hardwood floors to carpet to even throw rugs without it sucking them up and then you can take it apart to make a hand held vac
since i know you love your shark, go with the shark stratos. the suction is SO good. take it from me, i have tried probably 100 different vacuums (not all mine) and the sharks are the best. and please, for the love of god do not buy a dyson cordless vacuum.
I will always go with the traditional big ol’ Dyson. My parents bought two, one 19 years ago and the second about 16 years ago. The older one they gave to my brother in law about 6 years ago, he still has it. I inherited the 16 year old one about 5 years ago and I LOVE it. I clean it around once a year, which consists of wiping down, cleaning the bristle bar and the filters. The filters can be cleaned with water and dried and reused. It doesn’t take bags, so it’s a one-time-purchase. It has the extendable nozzle and all of its parts are stored on the vacuum itself. I was 10 when my parents bought it, and now I have two children of my own who sit on the vacuum like a rollercoaster while I use it. I will keep it until it literally falls apart. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lexi how come you don't just put your couch pillow covers in the washer. I wash mine all the time and it's like having a brand new couch. Try it I promise it will change your life. Especially with pets I don't have pets but kids are just as messy
I hope so badly you and hubs can sell that house and find new peace and joy. Its hard to know you suffer there still.
Ive had an Oreck for 20+ years. It cleans up pet hair so much better than others I've used, and it's light-weight.

Good idea to take the down cushion and clean the material alone!
Best vacuum is sebo. Every piece can be replaced
