Thanks for bringing us along! That same weekend in May we went to the Adirondack's, I did a 2 mile portage with my Royalex canoe and it whooped me something fierce. Sat in the rain for 4 days and caught 2 trout. And then had that 2 mile portage back out!
@brianadventures9622 I'm glad you enjoyed it! Wow, a 2 miler with a royalex canoe!!! That's a beast of a carry! I did a 3 1/2 miler once but that was with a kevlar canoe and it bout killed me. But somehow you forget about all the pain when you reach your destination and it's totally worth it!
Wow! What an amazing trip. A complete 180 to the Frost River, that's for sure. Your pup is a riot. So full of energy and happy to be there. Just love that. Thank you for bringing us along. I've not done the BWCA yet, but plan to starting next year. My Old Town 94 lb canoe just won't do it for portaging. I'll check out the Prospector 14. Thank you again, Schultz!
Nice one Dan, thanks for sharing. still watching but really enjoying it. I like that area a lot. Haven’t been to BWCA yet this year but I’m going the last weekend in August.
Long ago, I used to dog sit a black lab named Lexi. I still have a framed picture of her on my wall. I have done this route only in the other direction. I agree the Frost River is much easier. I consider Trail to Fredrick my toughest day-Wine was full.

Thanks for watching. Hopefully you get there, you'll love it. Yes, Lexi absolutely loves these trips!
How are things?-Schultz-breathtaking trip- :)
Very well, thank you!🙏

Thank you. I'm heading back in September as well to hopefully try a PMA this time. Where are heading in at?
I’m doing the Border Route Challenge, Crane Lake to Grand Portage.

Lexi must be a very popular name. I really like both these routes for different reasons. I can't believe a remote lake like Wine was full.
@schultzoutdoors8799 yeah, I was hoping to catch a laker there!
The Louse River is pronounced "Luce"? I was told by a forest ranger that Lujenida is pronounced Loo-jah-needa.
Nice, thanks. I was never quite sure.👍
