I had a double Jaw surgery and after that I experienced an complete absence of sensation in my lower lip and chin. I’m very sad. Is there any solution in my case ?

Can you explain your Symptoms,all other surgeon saying nerve damage are temporary,it will resolve over time

@@Tony-ton17 Unfortunately, I think surgeons say that so as not to scare their patients. This is my fifth month after surgery and I still haven't recovered my sensitivity in my lips. It's sad to never know again what a kiss feels like.

@@roboxxfulI also had double jaw surgery. I’m 11 weeks post-op and still can’t feel the inside of my lower lip. The rest of my lip and chin have decreased sensation. I was told it could take up to a year but to give it at least 6 months. I take a lot of supplements for nerve repair…do you take anything?

Just today I am 5 postoperative months old, for a month and a half I began to feel tingling on my lip, I took citidin uridin, pregabalyn, vitamin B. I don't think I'll regain any more sensitivity, I've consulted another surgeon and that's what he told me. It's sad because I can't feel a kiss again.
