A Jody (Jodie) is more of a song really and more "fun" on long marches than normal cadences. It comes from the name given in Vietnam to the guy that is back home with your girl. Basically Jody went to school and you were deployed and now Jody has your girl back home. Thank you for your service.

For me it was not too difficult saying goodbye to my Boot Camp Flight Members (3702 FLight 102). What was difficult was saying goodbye to my fellow Teletype Crypto classmates at Sheppard in early June of 1987. I mean when you are part of a core group that did almost everything together for 5 months........
In my day, 60 years ago, different uniforms in the formation would not be permitted. To this day I find it a big distraction in an otherwise excellent video.
Wow that’s crazy I graduated bmt November 23, 2022. Sgt boelter did this Jodie for us as well. I was the guidon bearer for my flight. I could barely hear him from the wind , rain and flag flapping in my ear as we March to the prc. By the time we got there everyone in the flight was on the verge of crying. It’s crazy you spend the whole time at bmt wishing it was over but that last day you wish you had one more to spend with your wingmen.
Not only are they not wearing all the same uniform. They’re not all tall to short. Do you understand why we do this? It’s because when we march they don’t know how many is behind us. This is the military! They can say no for so many reasons. This is not an equal opportunity place.
I was in the Air force in 1978-1982 was awesome time , Crew chief on fighter jets at Tyndall AFB 325th AGS attached to the 95th Fighter Squadron. A little story one day on the flight line my jet landed and i parked him put the ladder on the side and the pilot had been out west somewhere. He said hey Shoe can you help me with something i said dont know what is it . this is 1979, he said i have 2 cases of Coors beer in the luggage rack (kinda like a fuel belly tank but a luggage carrier) he said if you get it to the fence ill give ya 2 six packs . I said yes lol i was 19 . So he gave me 2 six packs and I got in the Box truck we used on flight line and said hey Sarge Tech Sargent lol you want a cold coors beer , he stopped the truck and said where did you get coors beer ( in 1979 coors beer was not sold east of the mississippi yet) i said dont worry about it you want a beer lol he said hell yes, so there was 6 of us working that day so we all got 2 ice cold slush beers lol , technically they were bootlegging beer on a fighter jet lol we had so much fun down there what memories I salute all Veterans thanks for your service

When I served there was an AFI that stated everyone either wore a jacket, or no one did. The flight looks jacked up with people dressed differently.
