Lovely. The High School Musical version of coming out. Encouraging...but overly optimistic and misleading that this is how things work out for every kid who his puberty and goes "oh, wait a minute..." and decides oh I'll tell family and friends and everything will be wonderful. My advice to the fictional character is to wait it out til he gets out of the house and is on his own, then can surround himself with whom he chooses.
