I recommend the Troy Reed book "I Never met Alpo". It's the last chapter of Alpo's life. It talks about the struggles he had once was released and mentions the Witness Protection Program he was in Maine. Po had dropped out of the Program and was trying to get back in the drug game. He even asked Troy Reed if he knew anyone that wanted to move weed in large volume. His money was funny.
As much as I'd like to dive into his interviews I can't seem to trust a word this man says.

So one thing I noticed is that Alpo says @ 39:20 that his connect fronted RIch 60 bricks and 30 of those were his.. But listening to Azies story, Fritz fronted RICH 30 bricks to get his brother back and couldn't sell them because the feds were on him in NYC so Rich got ahold of Alpo to sell them. Was Fritz Alpos connect? Also, if Alpo was on the run from the feds and needed the money because things were drying up, sounds like Alpo took that opportunity to just take out RICH as all ALPO ever did was use people to secure his position and always killed from the jump no matter who it was.

I'm 51 yrs old. I grew up in the DMV. I was there, Po was never to be trusted. Just by the simple fact that he and silk aka Wayne Perry, were that close, should have told folks all they needed to know about him! I never thought he would make it out of the DMV alive.
I'm 55 and grew up in the BX and Harlem. Many New Yorkers went to DC from 85-89. Many went to hustle out of town and many went to Howard University. Some of those New Yorkers are still in DC, Maryland and Baltimore today with kids and Grandkids. My people from the BX went from having shootouts against DC locals to earning their respect and joining forces. DC locals recruited them because they stood on principle. Just like Ears Da Christ said, there are many solid New Yorkers in DC. They were the ones who told him Alpo was damaged goods.
