Edit: yeah they differ while calculating RPCs the second time, but the concept is same the SW2 port 2 is selected because the cost is less due to different links (10BaseT/100BaseT) Because according to this video the cost is add when a BPDU is received on a port. And there are 2 ports that receive BPDU in the given scenario (SW2 port1 and SW3 port2).

The path cost is added to the port cost of the port "receiving" the BPDU, Sending BPDU doesn't counted the cost
Why the rpc on sw3 port2 is the sum of sw2 port1 + sw3 port2 instead of sw2 port1 + port2 ???
