Hey to fat to hunt that's awesome bro taking your buddy out fishing good for you. Thanks for the video I use to use 350 dollar rods not worth it. I think I'm going to buy the dobyns fury series. Have a great day out there with your friend. GOD bless you and your family.
I have the Fury 705 CB it is awesome. I'm sure the Maveric is almost as good. I need a second one and I considered the Maveric to save a few $$ since my income is limited. Thanks for the review.
Haha great video man… Some NICE SMALLIES! 😎🤙🏽 I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on a Maverick 733C. Just looking for a bit of a do it all rod cause I have an extra reel laying around and that bothers me. Lol (I seriously need fishing gear anonymous) 🤦🏻♂️😂 I love the idea of the cranking rod, was just thinking maybe the 733 might cover more ground for me and still be able to pull off some of that moderate action stuff as well if needed. I’m a taller dude and tend to like longer rods which usually also equates to more sensitivity in these budget rods. You mentioned spinnerbaits, I’ve actually been throwing them on a Colt 734C lately and it’s been pretty sweet. Curious if you’ve tried any of the other models of this rod since making this vid… and what you think about it now after using it for awhile? Thanks man. Keep up the good work! 😊🤙🏽
Thanks man, appreciate it!. 733 would do alot of things for ya. I have not tried the other ones yet but I love the cb rod. I use it for smaller swimbaits and thinks too.😆
@@fishinmagician3960 I'm stocked to use it next year for my cranking setup. I've used Lews for a while since they have had the CS300 and TLC300 spinning reels but they pale in comparison to my fuego and Vanford. This is my first daiwa baitcaster! I couldn't be more excited
Have you fished the 705cb Maverick and Fury back to back? Just wondering if the Maverick is a bit slower or softer. The Fury seems a bit stiffer or not as parabolic as I like in a crank rod.
@Too fat to hunt outdoors would you say this maverick 705CB is a better crankbait rod than the Fury 705cb I'm torn between the two and can't decide which is better. Got any advice I would appreciate it!
They are very comparable. I would say the Maverick blank is a bit softer than the fury. I like the softer blank, I have broken a few fury blanks, never broke a Maverick or Colt. Both great crank rods though, and the Maverick is a touch cheaper as well.
@@TooFatToHuntOutdoors Thanks! I watched your video and it seemed you were quite happy with it I hope I can pick it up and use it for cranks and squarebills too! Anyways i appreciate it!
@TooFatToHuntOutdoors I went to check out the Shimano SLX in person, and it just felt very cheap. Definitely gonna go with the Dobyns...it feels more like a $99 rod IMO.

Thanks buddy, appreciate it! You will love the fury line, they are nice. I use the 734 and 735 for quite a few different things.
I agree; bought a Dobyn's spinning rod for finesse fishing just yesterday. 🙂
Awesome! You will love it!
Yep, looks like it'll pair up well with 1 of my slx DC's
For sure!!..and that will look 🔥!!!

Sweet video ! Check out the Maverick 735 handles a wide variety of baits surprisedly well
Thanks man!..good to hear...I wanna try a few more as well!..
I picked this rod up and paired it with a Daiwa tatula CT 6.3:1 it’s a gem rear set up!
Awesome!...I'm loving it as well...
@Fish I picked up a Tatula 100h with the same ratio and doing it on the Maverick like you did.
@@alexthesniper1952 your gonna love it! now have 3 CTs a 150 and a 200 I love the tatula line up they are all awesome!

which crank are you throwing here 1:37 and how deep can you get it down to?
Storm Arashi Flat 7, great spring/cold water crank....dives 7 feet on 12 pound fluro

I have not, but I know it is a touch slower than the fury
Do they make them in 2 peice rods?? A good pan fish rod??
Not this series, but they offer the colt and Sierra lineup in a couple different lengths for panfish rods
Epic timing. Just got a gift card for Dobyns!
Boomsky!!!..it was meant to be!!!...thanks man!

Just ordered the Maverick thanks for your recommendation and advice you also gained me a subscriber keep up the good work and content!
He said, "BUDGETABLE"! LoL! Second, Why didn't get a Dobyns Reel?
That I did!..haha. I would have tried out a Dobyns reel, but they were not quite available when I filmed this video yet.
@TooFatToHuntOutdoors I vouch for Dobyns reels. It looks like a Shimano Knockoff but it performs well and hardly no backlash.
Split between getting this rod or the new Shimano SLX rod. Both $99
I have a 610 medium slx rod, great rod...however, I like the Mav better.
