Las Terrenas in Samaná is one of the most beautiful places in the Dominican Republic.
Las Terrenas is the perfect blend of a dreamy beach village and a cosmopolitan town. Its waterfront boasts multiple stunning beaches, as well as a variety of small hotels, international bistros, apparel and arts and crafts boutiques, local restaurants, and lively bars.
We kite surfed in El Portillo, one of the two most popular places in the area. Here there is side shore wind and flat water, so El Portillo is good for all levels but especially beginners. It is a 15-minute drive from Las Terrenas centre, making easy access.
