I too use the tip guard of the tweezers to smooth out the labels. I also keep a brush handy to make sure the surface is free of debris before applying labels.
Some great tips! You reminded me how decals can pop off and go somewhere you least expect it. Then you have to turn up the lights to look for them. Fun times!
Thanks for the tip for warming up the figure, It makes a lot of sense, and I`ll now do that when needed. this video helps a lot PPR, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Every time you try that Prime impression, all I think of is McGruff the crime dog.
If you're talking about the disclaimer I think that's Beast Wars Megatron.
@@j.b.7905 oh, he needs to add a "Yeeeeesss" in there then.
@@Skybaby79 He's had that on there for a couple of years now so I doubt if he's gonna change it, of course I don't give a damn about the disclaimer, I'm here for his content.
This was really interesting! I’ve thought about getting some ToyHax sets, and I always wondered how people get those tiny ones on there.
Really good instructional video! I figured I'd find this because I just ordered Toyhax's labels for Legacy Skullgrin and I wanted to see how you apply the labels
I use a hairdryer to heat my figures and do the detailing of the decals themselves, especially if they cross sculpt lines or have curvature...
As for the decals themselves, I use tweezers AND an X-Acto blade for placement, or trimming/cutting, if necessary... But also, the blade allows me to slide in under a decal and remove/replace it, if it is offset or falls someplace OTHER than where it should go...!
Glasses are standard for me too, normally, BUT working that closely, mine come off, lol. 😆
Light and space are must haves too!
Good tips, brother! HOOO-AH!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
He has finally spilled the beans! Anyways that's cool that you take so much time to so that. Love the glasses on you they look good!
Thanks so much!!
Glad to see that I'm using most of the techniques of a professional.
This will be most beneficial
A fine addition to my collection.
Got some of those tweezers the last time you mentioned it. SO much easier than normal tweezers!
Yes they are!
Thanks for this it will help me apply the reprolable stickers.
Glad I could help
I love Toyhax and all their products. But I do have trouble with doing eyes especially, and some other small decals. And some on the foil backs can be hard to take off the backing sometimes. But they’re totally worth it. Guns and backgrounds are awesome too.
Thanks so much I always have a struggle putting on decals
Any time!
Thankfully I was able to buy Toyhax’s tweezers when they were selling it
Swindle's subspace storage pocket. lol
I use q-tips after applying the decals to press them down in those hard to reach nooks and crannies to avoid denting or scratching the decals
I used to, but kept getting Q-Tip fuzz stuck on them. ;)
@@PatriotPrimeReviews yeah I could see that as problem
I use Isopropyl Alcohol to clean the area and yes you be shocked at the dust and chemicals used in the factory-like I had POTP Cutthroat smell like WD40 talking reeked of it and it was sealed and bought it from Walmart. I know the stickers are heat and or pressure activated for the glue. And yes I have had a few stickers disappear then find them in the oddest of places even months later like how in the world.
Awesome 😎😎😎
Cool I needed these tips👍💯🤙
Glad I could help
Fucking awesome am collecting the movie 3 and 4 transformers
Was curious...how do you know where all the decals go? I got a few sheets for motormaster and that seems crazy. But I got Skorponok sheets coming....and I'm told that's a nightmare...thanks in advance 💯🙏
There's a sticker map on Toyhax's site for each Decal Set.
I've actually used toy accessories like swords to apply decals before.
Can you demonstrate?
Awesome 😀
Do you use a set of helping hands or anything to secure your figures so you can use both of your hands to apply and position the labels? My biggest challenge always seems to be that if I just set the figure on the table, i can never seem to get just the right angle needed to cleanly apply the labels. Just wondering how you do it.
Nope, all me.
How long it can last?water decal better or this?thanks, nice video
I have Toyhax Decals that have held up for years. I'm not that familiar with Water Slide ones.
The water decals are old school. Those were meant for the plastic model kit cars.
I have an oversized KO barricade and I don’t know what size repros would be a good size for him Patriot prime please help me out
Oversized ones. LOL!
How oversize is he?
@@PatriotPrimeReviews bigger than mpm barricade
Hooah
Do you feel your collection needs TOYHAX Decals? Absolutely!!!
How do you actually remove the decal from the sheet. I find that to sometimes be the hardest thing to do? Thanks PPR!!
Those pointy tweezers and very carefully
A scam
How so?
