      Problem solved: an officer doesn't have to live in the community but he has to get to know that community and i mean everybody including the one's with mental issues. Like a true incident where i was accused of pulling a knife on someone with issues but everybody knew it was her except for the officer. I lost my license as a Security Officer because of her.

      But he needs to be specific...i.e. The U.S government should pay descendants of slavery the $17 Trillion in restorative reparations owed and needed by this bottom caste. This has to be a lineage based project that can be paid out in direct payments (not programs & so called community lending,etc.) He needs to go to ados101.com & you will come back and see how confused cube is vs. how clear Yvette Carnell & Antonio Moore (Tone Talks) are with data and lineage based information.✌🏾🇺🇸#ADOS

Ice Cube’s transparency in his narrative was like a Bible for me when I & my young family of 3 children & partner was harassed for 7 long years with panic buttons installed in our home. I resent paying UK taxes to the police given that we are not given the same level of service... it’s an absolute travesty & we are still enslaved due to the still earning revenue for giving us absolutely nothing. I just wish Nubian People were strong enough to stand together so tightly that they withdraw their earned Money & REALLY TRY TO NOT SPEND THEIR MONEY IN THE OPPRESSORS BUSINESSES & THEY WILL SOON WAKE UP WHEN YOU HIT THEM IN THEIR POCKETS.

      @@davidelrockafella2870 IMO, Anderson and those who promote him or any other advocate for economic development ,need to present his business credentials as much as they do his books. The businesses themselves he created are more powerful than the rhetoric that is most often seen of him on social media. I recently saw a video where he says he developed a resort in Ghana, I believe it was. And that is not making any money at this time or in bankruptcy. Don't recall how old the video is, it may be current, and the pandemic may be the reason for the financial straits it's in. Those casino property always seemed like a good investment for a Black entrepreneur, maybe climate change makes it not so much any more, I don't know, but entertainment is an area in which Black people know something about, in fact I think our performing and visual arts should or could be the foundation of any Black economic development. Economic development that don't directly translate into prosperous communities that were once impoverished , would be no different from what we have now - a form of trickle down economics that never reach the people most in need of uplifting. We should be engaging in a low cost form of Black gentrification. marketing our artist and entertainers right in the communities in which they live. We should draw people from around the world into our communities to partake of our culture. Why can't African-Americans have a form of a tourist industry? We like to brag about how the world loves our culture and copies us, if this is true they will come into our communities to consume it, and their consumer dollars could benefit already existing businesses in our communities. Wealth is relative, and to have relative wealth, we must acquire, as much of other people's money as they get of ours. As it stands now, they consume our culture in their own venues outside of our communities. Our culture is our most plentiful and marketable economic producing resource, that is available to broad spectrum of our people. If we can't take advantage of and manage this gold mine, what can we capitalize on? Our venues don't have to be plush - just clean, comfortable and safe. Of course we would have to end the violence in many of our communities for this to be successful. Black businesses don't do a good job of advertising and marketing. We need to put more focus on the fundamentals of business and stop with all the social media gossip that to many so-called economic development advocates engage in. It doesn't help the trust factor, that I believe is a major reason the call for the support of Black banks and businesses, has not been successful over a span of nearly half a century, if not more.

      @@siriuslyspeaking9720 man you kind of jumped around there. As I was responding to what seemed as disrespect towards someone who has solidified his legacy, dare I say in stone. It's like questioning what Dr. J or MJ did for basketball. Again if you are not familiar with his accomplishments just say that. He literally got more black judges elected in several different states than anyone has since he got out of politics. He helped Atlanta become a mecca for black business, from when the Atlanta airport got built to many of the businesses in that airport that many don't even know are black owned. Comes from a family of successful black bus owners. It only failed after people thought it was better to be accepted by whites & able to use white buses as if white ice is cooler than Black ice. Which goes into your point about him highlighting failed business due to "blacks" being apprehensive about supporting their own businesses because the desire to want to frequent their white counterparts. Allot of the other stuff you mentioned I agree with, I just felt complelled to correct you on your critique of claud Anderson. Do your research on his business acumen & what he's actually achieved & accomplished notoriety for from whites & blacks for what he's done for blacks in this country

    • @siriuslyspeaking9720
      @siriuslyspeaking9720 4 роки тому

      @@davidelrockafella2870 I've seen Anderson speak of his position in the government, and a little of his businesses. My criticisms were more of the numerous people who advocate for him. The way they present it just sounds too much like a snake oil salesman. Economics really is not that complicated. Can you deny that Black businesses break one of the fundamental rules of business - advertising marketing? Those who advocate for him, seem to be marketing his books more so than economic development itself, and again they do a better job of marketing his books than economic development, IMO. In all that he has done, and it is a lot - the crucial question becomes - why has it not made a difference in the lives of those at the very bottom? Atlanta has the same poverty rate as most other cities, large numbers of us live in. Does capitalism dictate that whatever we do, in terms of economic, there will always be a significant number of people with no so-called wealth at all? Has the majority of Black people simply concluded that they can do fine without a committed economic relationship with other Black people? This nearly half century old campaign to support Black financial institutions saw the majority of them go out of business, if I'm not mistaken. At some point we have to take a different approach, if we still think group economics is a possibility. What has been consciously absent from the discussion of Black economics and politics is the third component crucial to social groups - culture. Politics and economics have failed us because we approach our societal woes backwards. Politics and economics grow out of culture. I believe our culture is flawed, and thus our politics and economics.

      If this is a contract with Black America, he is speaking from the position of the government. He has no authorization/power to make any contract valid. His proposals are things for the government to do, which he nor we, have much power to promise and fulfill. A contract with Black America would have obligations for Black people to fore-fill, which I don't hear. That's why I don't see this as a contract at all. People may think this is not important, and just a matter of semantics, but it illustrates the mistakes we continue to make. Most or all of his proposals are already part of the Democrat platform, as most were already a part of most of the candidates for President platform. Black leadership has been proposing a 'Black Agenda' for the government for around 10 years, if not more. You can find many 'Black Agendas' that have recently been proposed by individuals and groups on the internet. This is just a lot of duplication. We wail against the "system" of so-called White Supremacy, but we are anything but systemic and coordinated in our response. A lot of people are talking about "being on code" - whatever that means. The two individuals who made the term White so-called Supremacy a household word - Neely Fuller Jr. and the late Dr. Francis Cress Welshing, advocated that we compensate for this system that works against us. They put forth basic behavior/practices that we should avoid, and others that we should employ. Implied in this code-system is the basic concept that we have to take special considerations for things - that a people or person might not normally have to. This is the special challenge that our unique situation/condition presents us with. Many of us don't want to accept this really, and think we can get out of this situation, using the same efforts/standards one normally would use in life. The talk of a 'Black Agenda' and 'Contracts' with the government, put the cart before the horse, IMO. The individual Black person has no other role in this contract than we would normally have - to vote and correspond with your political representatives and express our wishes, opinions, etc. on things to them. Before any contract with the government can be effective, Black people themselves have to have a functional Contract/Agenda between ourselves. The basic contract Black people have with ourselves is our values and shared goals aspiration. This is normally reflected in the culture of a people. Right now this cultural-contract is being anything but being honored, because there is in fact no contract. There are no basic set of common values and goals we all share and agree to adhere to and work to achieve. If we ever had any semblance of a contract, it no longer exist. Evidence of this is the generational divide and disconnect, and more specifically, the issue of "respectability politics", especially as it is embodied in the question of Black people killing one another. Some today, speak of this as a taboo. Many dismiss it as not a legitimate concern. They argue that no one talks about White people killing White people or any other people killing each other. They add "people kill people they live near". They act as if White people were the ones who always talked about us killing each other. The phrase Black on Black crime or violence goes back to at least the 1970's, when the late Congressmen from Md. Parren J.Mitchell created the slogan 'Us Killing Us Equals Genocide' to protest the high numbers of homicides being committed in so many of our communities. Hip-Hop in the 80's had their 'Stop The Violence Movement'. No one said to these anti-violence efforts that it doesn't matter, and certainly not because no one else is expressing a similar concern for their people. What is going on with us? What reality are we living in? This argument being made today makes no sense. It is like a nation engaged in a civil war while being invaded by an enemy. Older people can recall our parents say to us, when we were children - "just because someone else go and jump off a cliff, are you going to do it to? Us killing each other under our circumstances, is like us following people who jump of a cliff with a parachute or bungee cord attached to them, while we follow and jump with nothing attached to us, to break our fall. If we can't all agree on the basic standard of valuing our very lives, what can we hope to achieve collectively? We have a basic failure to communicate. We don't even perceive basic really the same.

      Well you have to not have a mob mentality and let the facts come out which usually takes some time but the way people are today, they don't wait for facts and want someone to pay for something that might have been justified. On top of that when something is ruled justified, don't cry that the outcome that was given wasn't the outcome you wanted. Instead of teaching cops about Civil Rights history, how about we teach people how to actually be Civil?

    • @ummeiguess
      @ummeiguess 3 роки тому

      that's one option
      but in the contract it has a statute for an insurance fund that cops pay into - it takes care of the trials, and settlements that are currently laid through our tax dollars
      I think there's some law that makes it so pensions can't be touched - but I agree the monies should come from the cops and not the ppl
      to kinda offset that, the cops (and firefighters, and soldiers and first responders, etc.) who are doing a good job, and not bringing these lawsuits, should be allowed to pay less taxes - those jobs are hard af, but they're essential to have a fully functioning society - especially, if they're done right with integrity
      ending Qualified Immunity - and having the bad apples cost these depts money over and over means they'll have to start weeding them out - leaving the right ones in the right positions
      the overhaul encompasses A LOT - and a LOT of it starts with 💰 🤑

      After a while it became controlled by money and crooked record execs who began pushing the envelope of the promotion of violent and ignorant lyrics with an underlying agenda to have jails filled.

      Exactly. The 13th Amendment is the "sneaky" way to keep "the new age" slavery going. A lot of roads, ditches, and freeway clean up is done by people who are incarcerated, in case you didn't know. "The Chain Gangs" were and are real. A black person could be charged with "vagrancy" and sent to jail and made to be "prison labor." It's a shame how we black folks are so uneducated in the USA. We stay being taught NOTHING about our plight since we have been in this country and the powers that be want to KEEP IT THAT WAY! That's why education with emphasis on the TRUE HISTORY of THE USA needs to be taught to our black children so maybe they won't feel as if they contributed nothing to this country but slave labor and Civil Rights, that we barely benefit from. I hope that these plans make sure that black people benefit more this time around than last time. Cause white women and the "alphabet" community made more headway using Civil Rights than we as a people. It bothers me that others benefited more off of our pain, murder and degradation than we did!

      @@topdogvids this is how I see it. He's playing devil's advocate. It's interesting how Charla can do no right. If he doesn't challenge a guest, he's sucking up but when he does, he's sellout. This why he doesn't do what anyone wants him to do. He can't ever win!

    I grew up in the city back in the late '60s-'70s. We had police walking the Black hoods. We knew them by name and they knew us too. They always had time for the kids and would talk to us. All that changed in the '80s with Reaganomics. The inner city had programs for kids to have jobs after school and weekends. I was in those programs at age 15. I had two jobs. These were in poor communities and it all was taken away with Reagan. I get so sick and tired hearing the white talking heads saying how bad the inner city is without giving the reason why it got that way.

      @@NeonHelix20 its a magic power that every republican president have to influence local policies every 8 years so that democrats mayor and governor can blame him for their failiures. In reality local programs are run by the mayor or the state, even the police contrary for example to here in Europe where the police is federal. think with your brain kid.
