Love you Lisa, and your dad. He is such a sensible person whom you can talk to like a friend. He doesn’t act like an authority figure but like a true friend, who is willing to listen and communicate. Such a humble man setting a great example for his children. Best wishes to you and your family 💞💞💞
Lisa-Marie, I'm so proud of ya.. you are one of a kind as Miss HK... you do care about the environment and volunteering and giving back to society... you are not like the typical ones that are only interested in glamour!!!
We recycle in the US. Where I live we have to separate our garbage: regular garbage, paper, plastic bottles, paper cartons and metal/aluminum cans. Recyclable items are pick up on Fridays. Also our bottled waters and carbonated drinks (soda pops) have a 5 cents deposit upon purchase which you can return to the store via recycle macheies to get back the $ back or put it out with recycle items on garbage days. To help with plastic waste, I refrain from buying bottled water. I filter my water from the faucet and carry around my Swell stainless steel bottle everywhere.
Hi Lisa. Just wanted to tell you im very impressed with how much your cantonese has improved. You sound a lot more fluent now compared to just a year ago and you're doing a great job with your role in 愛回家. You should be proud! Also it is very nice of you to want to give back to the society and raise awareness of environmental issues. You definitely live up to your title as Miss Hong Kong which not many of your predecessors were able to do. Keep it up!
Hi Lisa, you’re dad such a huge inspiration. He has a thinker, problem solver, do’er and humble approach to life. It’s really awesome hearing about his story and how he’s always learning and teaching his experiences.
I only speak with my daughter in Cantonese , and she went back to Hong Kong many times during summer before she started working , she can speak pretty good Cantonese too ... 😁
Hi Lisa, I just stumbled on your muay Thai video and then this one. It is utterly wild to hear you speak with a Scottish accent and then transition to speak Cantonese fluently, and almost perfectly. It blows my mind. I was born in Singapore and I learned Cantonese after I moved to New Zealand. It's so different in terms of tones and linguistics. But I cannot imagine anything as different as Cantonese and a Scottish accent. Love this content. Keep it up.
I moved to the US as a teenager. I do miss HK. And now I'm a senior, I am very used to the relaxing life in the US. Hopefully, I will visit HK again. Your Cantonese is so much better. It's very tough to speak Cantonese in a very short period of time. Your parents should be proud of you. :)
Lisa, keep being true to yourself. Its refreshing with all these HK celebrities being taught how to answer with their model answers. I get why alot of these other celebs have to act a certain way, because their true selves are often less genuine. But you are a heart of gold, girl!
I totally get your point about hardly meeting other Asian families in your area. Although I stay in the city I still had the same problem as you. Only way to have met more Cantonese people is if we had gone to Chinese school on Saturday's, Chinese church on Sunday's, big Family events or New year events and Dragon boat racing days.
Great show~! Thanks for filming such a brilliant talk show. I enjoy watching the your dad and you. Sincere chat is always touching us. Thank you very much from Australia~💞💞💞
@@lisadiary268 Lisa, when will you sing some old Cantonese songs again? I miss your singing!I hope you can learn more Cantonese old songs from Maria Cadero (肥媽). You are way too cute while you were singing!
Hi Lisa! Thanks for release your video, i’m touched too! I come from a large family, my father born in HK has left to come and settle in France and my mother also from Cambodia has already lived in Macau. I share my 2 cultures and I am proud of them! How difficult is it to see each other with your cousins since you are very close to each other? For me, it was very difficult because I haven't seen them since 1997.I appreciate your contents, I will continue to support you! Enjoyed!!!
really appreciate your comment! Yeh it definitely hasn't been easy. I do hope to visit back home soon once things have calmed down with covid! We mainly keep in touch with a lot of facetime sessions lol, grateful we're in this generation where we're just one click away from each other.
I can feel something deep and wisdom through your dad's eyes. and btw, I was trying to learn more Scottish accent here with your film works, it's great! I've also been touched by the strong love between you and Dad, I could also feel that too. Good luck to all of you.
Wonderful! Your Cantonese is getting better and better, happy to hear you share your life in HK. Also, nice to know the culture difference between HK and Scotland, looking for more video from you, if with your Mom, that will be awesome 😘♥️.
My parents were born and raised in Hong Kong, and then immigrated to Canada, away from their many siblings, and then had me. So I was born and raised in Canada. So my Chinese is about the same as yours, haha!
Not entirely Cantonese but it's inevitable to start speaking English when phrases are too abstract to express. Love your videos, different insight into your life!!
This is the first time hearing you speak in English. Very weird especially with a thick accent. Keep up the great work, one of the very few Miss HK winner that truly deserves it.
I definitely think culture have such an impact on shaping the way you think. I feel that when you're exposed to different cultures for a period of time, naturally you will be inclined to favour a particular aspect of it. It is that which shapes the grounding of your principles, which can change depending at what point your are in life.
Interesting Video. I had a similar experience as your dad when I first moved to Canada twenty some years ago. I can tell from his facial expressions that he really went thru a whole lot. btw NICE TATTOO dad!
Wow! Your cantonese has improved so much! I think living in Hong Kong and speaking it every day worked for you! When I speak Cantonese my heavy Australian accent L
Wow... how I like Scottish accent😅 I once had a couple of Scottish colleagues in HK. I couldn't make any sense at all when they talked between themselves. Only when they spoke to us, it'll be more like Lisa in this vid that we can understand.
Geee, you have a very good heart and your dad is charming too. Glad that you like Hong Kong, 😉😉 hope you can contribute more to help people here. Btw, you got a heavy Scottish accent, I need to guess some of your words, 😂😂
A lot of UK immigrants from Hong Kong were from New Territory in the old days . Most of them were working for catering industry or running with the business of Chinese restaurants and Chinese take away shops by their own in order to make living . Is not an easy task , but require with a lot of hard working and patience. Pretty sure Lisa’s Dad been went through with all these challenges before when he was just arrived in UK long time ago.
They really get along so well, more like friends and very close. My chemistry with my American born children are not as close. I think her dad really spent a lot of time with her while I spent too much time working developing my own career. Very nice and warm family.
10:10ish, Lisa and daddy, good intension about plastics. We all have been fooled by the plastic industry. The actual recycle is less than 2%, it is simply cheaper to produce plastics than recycle. The only way is to change our life styles. When I was a boy in the 50’s, we take our own containers for take outs.
Interesting video chat. Really wonderful the good you're doing. Hope you'll inspire others to do the same & bring attention to how we can work together to make things better. Also love your cute doggie. Watched video again to just focus on doggie enjoying your cuddles & kisses... melted my heart. 🐕💞😊

Love your vlogs, Lisa. And you are such a simple and real person 😍.
Thank you so much!!

I missed hearing Scottish accent since taking retirement a few years back. Enjoy listening to her.
