An album that snuck onto my year end list is Wuldorgast - Cold Light. It’s crushing, catchy black metal It just came out this month I recommend it for sure man. And it’s cool to hear you getting into Metalcore and post hardcore again I have as well with Seeyouspacecowboy and their new album Coupe de Grâce from earlier this year. Really has scratched that itch for me on that nostalgic post hardcore sound lol. Hope you’re having a good winter break dude!!
i look forward to checking those albums out!! thanks for recommending. i’m glad to hear you have been enjoying them. my small winter break from work has been good. i hope the same for you. thanks for taking the time to comment
@@fruitfulcravenI have had a great break myself so far man thanks so much! And yes especially Seeyouspacecowboy. If you haven’t heard them before I really think you’ll like them, they put on a great live show and are essential for me post hardcore wise.
Well, that's a fun list. You're winning me over with the Death Metal, but you still, thankfully, haven't converted me into a Death Grips fan. Admittedly, I'm more of a punk than a metal guy, but friends with many. I listened to a lot of older stuff this month: The Beatles, MF Doom, The Emotions, Hitoshi Sakimoto, Beethoven, Pet Shop Boys, The Smiths, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Yokko Kanno, Circle Jerks, and some jazz. I need to finish listening to Elvis Costello's This Year's Model. I'm still making my way through the best of 2024 lists. What 90s hip-hop do you like? Do you have a collection of international metal bands? Also, my apologies. I do have social media but UA-cam won't let me post links. I'm on BlueSky because I'm old and on Tik-Tok because I'm in denial but I never do anything with it. I used to have a Twitter but got rid of it once Musk turned it into Stormfront. Anyway, let me know if you're on either. Happy 2025! At least, twenty days of it.
you will eventually be thanking me when death grips clicks with you. believe me. im definitely more of a metal guy but love some punk and punk-adjacent stuff as well such as emo and post hardcore like i talked about a bit here. i was more familiar with punk stuff when i first got into music but gradually got more into metal. i love going to punk shows here in town and am planning to go to one tonight. the energy is always good at those. i think i prefer seeing hardcore stuff live instead of listening to recordings as much. you had a nice mix of things this month! some good stuff for sure. im glad you were enjoying it and continue to. a lot of the bands i talked about here are from norway and sweden. its funny because i dont have any of those socials haha. just this and instagram
