Great song and the new album is also fantastic. Saw them twice on the last US tour and they blew everyone else away...hope they get a headlining tour over here instead of a short opening slot set.
That evil little golem guy was disturbing, but I loved the grim reaper rowing the boat down the river. I wish the vocalist could sound like he did at 3:10 all the time, while still screaming.
Regardless of what people say, I like this album and I really dig the direction they're going with this. Reminds me of the recent wave of more Atmospheric Black Metal without going completely to say, Agalloch-worship (Seeing as they've been around longer than Agalloch in various incarnations, I find saying that silly) or to the other side with the whole Blackened Shoegaze thing going on. Very stripped down, very yummy. I dug V a lot. Just as good as I Krig, IMO.
I love Vreid, met the guys a few times as well. But I truly hate the fact that they ditched the Norwegian lyrics. Guess they did it to appeal to the darn americans.
@rmf919 Don't get me wrong, I like all of their albums, I've seen them several times live as well. But I just prefer the Norwegian ones ^^ I guess I'm just a fan who got bummed by the "change".

IMO Vreid has one of those rare qualities were every song has the unique "Vreid" sound without all their songs sounding the same.
