I'm so glad that someone asked about the pauses. Kenny might think it's a weird question, but the tutorials would lose so much without his unique pacing. Maybe he just does it for clarity, but it makes learning a fairly complicated program feel easy and relaxing.
Kenny's format is absolutely superior online training. It's clear, direct, quiet and gets to the point very quickly in a calm, pleasing manner. Reaper is a complicated software that becomes more complicated with each new version. Kenny is one of the things that makes navigating this DAW with the least frustration.

I felt like a piece of shit for that, and rightfully so. Thank you for all the videos, Kenny.
Working for REAPER sounds like the dream job! The fact that Cockos invests in having someone like you teach it for free is why REAPER is the DAW of the people. As you said, maybe it'll never be industry standard, but REAPER has made DAWs more accessible/affordable than anything I've seen out there! Folks in the US, UK, Canada, etc. can afford every DAW with relative ease, and therefore have a real choice to make there, but for young people all around the world in the middle east, Africa, and elsewhere, where the dollar is more expensive and wages low, REAPER is quickly growing to become the only good affordable option! REAPER's global reach outside the relatively small industry, will outgrow other DAWs over time and also help people who may not even look at audio as a career still able to express themselves. Also in Game Audio, REAPER is definitely one of the many industry-standard tools imo. Thank you all for creating the DAW of the people :)

14:09 Studio tour. "Oh and I also have a pair of baseball bats to deal with any burglars trying to steal my gear." Great vids Kenny, couldn't live in Reaperland without them.
Old school, low tech, retired guy here, Kenny. My pass time is recording myself on guitar. I can do that fairly well now but it’s only because of YOU, Sir, and only after watching your clear and detailed videos on that magical tool called Reaper. I’d probably be sitting in a rocking chair watching traffic go by if not for you. Thank you, Kenny. Love you, man!
Not retired yet but getting close. Not a great musician but have really enjoyed learning about recording myself through Reaper and Kenny's videos. I always search his videos first before I go anywhere else. And the videos are short and to the point so it's easy to watch one or two while on a break or eating a meal. Thanks Kenny! Great stuff!
Reaper is fantastic isn't it? I have used most DAWs over the years. Reaper is the one WhiteLakeDan, and yes Kenny was one of those who made my transition from other DAWs all the more easier. Got me up and running quickly. Reaper is my favourite DAW. It isn't the prettiest sure, but functionally. It is the one! As a developer I also find it a fantastic environment for debugging my own plugins. It is just the best swiss army knife DAW that there is. You cannot go wrong with Reaper. :D.
I love Kenny even more after watching this video. I put off using a DAW for years because I thought I would never understand how to use one, they just looked overwhelming. But with Kenny’s help I have reached a level that I’m immensely proud of. I’m 70 years old and not trained in IT but Kenny is a supremely talented teacher and I’m so grateful to him.
Because the people of cockos put their heart into this amazing DAW, I bought a license which costs around $60, if I remember correctly. If you like reaper and use it, please support these hardworking folks by buying a license - those people need to support their families too. And by supporting them economically, reaper can continue to make this fantastic daw. Thank you.
Definitely pay for it! It's well worth it! And I really appreciate that they have a personal use price without feature limitations for those of us that are starting out and learning.
I just decided to buy the license, had to go over the 60 day mark to make sure this software is what I'm looking for but yeah in the end I bought it so I'm not guilty ;p
It's the first program I bought out of principle. And once I asked if I can donate - the only way is to buy the more expensive license. Well, I'll just wait for the next payment which I will be glad to pay.
It's very refreshing to see someone talk naturally and so chill. Unlike the majority of YTbers that overexaggerate everything and try to be too over the top.
I'm so glad to know that you're an employee of Cockos/Reaper. What you do is really great. Music channels have really gone downhill as of late. They used to impart knowledge but now it's just a constant gear 'review' to make money, and this channel never feels that way (obviously). Anyway, rant aside, I really appreciate this channel. Thanks to everyone making it, and making it possible.

I've participated in some TDPri (Telecaster Discussion Forum) discussions about who uses what DAW, I was impressed that at least among musicians, Reaper keeps coming up and is recommended as frequently as the ProTools, Logic, and Ableton DAW's. Those discussions convinced me to throw down the $60 Reaper private user fee. Money well spent.
I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart, I wouldn't know a single thing about recording if it weren't for you showing me everything I could learn ever since I was 16 and just learning how to work a daw.
Hey Kenny! Video guy here with some unsolicited advice. Your camera should be at eye level or higher with a slight downward angle. Adjust your framing so that the top of your head is closer to the top of the frame (look up the rule of thirds). Set your camera to manual exposure so that when you cover the lens with your hand the image doesn't get brighter.
I researched DAW's for over 1 year before committing to purchasing REAPER. OMG, what a beautiful, elegant, and universally versatile program. I love the PVC legs comment towards the end. Lol. That's something I would do. I can't express how much Reaper has opened up my world but I still wanted to say a heart felt thank you to you and all who are involved making Reaper and for making it possible for common folk to have such powerful tools made more accessible to them. You guys have made it fun and easy learning a DAW. Wish I had all this at my fingertips years ago. Keep up the good work!
I have longed to see your face. Now I did. I can recognise your voice distinctively. Thank you so much for for your help and services. All these years was fun learning stuffs from you. Cheers!
Every time I have the chance to recommend Reaper I mention the forum and 3rd party developers, and your videos. They helped me start since I had never used a DAW. So, thanks for your work and helping me get closer to having a creative outlet.
Hi Kenny, The AMA stuff is great and pleased for you to confirm your relationship with Cockos. Your VST series of free stuff is cool and good that Justin et al are OK with that. Not sure if this has been requested before, but... Any plans to continue explaining some of the wider Reaper scripter community work? Some fantastic code monsters out there who freely donate their excellent work such as Helgoboss with Realearn and Playtime, MPL, Leandro Faccinetti and many, many others and not forgetting Geoff's brilliant work with CSI. I appreciate this may impinge on other UA-camrs excellent teach ins but grateful for your views and hopefully, future content. Cheers
your videos are the sole reason i use Reaper. sure, Reaper is great, but there are a lot of good DAWs out there. what sets Reaper apart, for me, is how easy it is to learn new things quickly, so you can get back to your session as quickly as possible. i couldn't do that without you, Kenny. thanks so much!
Your videos are a big part of the Reaper value proposition. Reaper is not the most intuitive software and I would not have stuck with it without your videos. But with your great videos, everything made sense and I was able to take control of this fantastic DAW! Thank you!
Don't ever change the way you talk with pauses, it helps me a great deal in learning what you teach. So many others talk too fast without breathing & one can't capture all that's been said. It's as though your pauses allows or gives us a chance to think about what you've just said each time & therefore it sinks in, so never stop this method of yours Kenny , it's so highly appreciated. You are very unique & there is no one else who teaches Reaper like you do, so ur always gonna be my first choice.!
Kenny, my friend, I recently switched from using Reason to Reaper. You saved my life with this video on automation: Quickly Finding an FX Parameter (Automation) in REAPER. I had really grown accustomed to simply right clicking a parameter and choosing to automate that specific parameter. Using the "last touched" approach in Reaper is essentially the same thing in a slightly different way. Thank you for this, and for all of your tutorials! You've made my transition from Reason to Reaper very easy! I REALLY appreciate it bro:) Rock on!! -Shae
Thank you Kenny, for all your wisdom, knowledge, tips, tricks and hints. I have learned so much from you about Reaper. Keep up the great work! Absolutely love your tutorials. All the best, Sven from The Metal Foundry
I’ve used Reaper for over three years and I’m continually impressed by the features it offers. But your videos are, far and away, the most informative, easy to understand and thorough regarding my learning. I incorporate what I’ve learned from you in every recording session I do. I look forward to every one of your lessons. Thank you so very much Kenny 👍🏻👍🏻

Discovered Reaper accidently and haven't look back since, thanks to your videos. Great resource.
Ever worked on any rock or metal music?
I'd be interested how you approached mixing and mastering rock and metal.
Thanks for the illuminations !
Thanks to your videos, i am actually using the stock plugins all the time now!
The PVC thing was supposed to be temporary. For some reason it just stays on there. For now. Thanks.
Thanks Kenny!
I love your color changing lamps that synchronize with each other. Where are they from?
It's not the lamps but the bulbs. This is called "Spa" mode.

This video is GREAT!!!
I have longed to see your face. Now I did. I can recognise your voice distinctively. Thank you so much for for your help and services. All these years was fun learning stuffs from you. Cheers!
Kenny you Rock !!
So glad I found this video at Random. I've been missing recording, and really want to get it all happening again just for fun
Thanks for the advice Kenny. Keep doing what you're doing. ✌️
Thanks brother!
A million "Thank You's" Kenny. The Reaper experience wouldn't be the same without you, and your videos!!!
Every time I have the chance to recommend Reaper I mention the forum and 3rd party developers, and your videos. They helped me start since I had never used a DAW. So, thanks for your work and helping me get closer to having a creative outlet.
You're a total legend Kenny.
Thanks so much 🏆🥇🔥🧡
Still think you should have a tip jar link!
Guy made it possible for me to understand enough about Reaper and recording to have fun and make my little music things.
Hi Kenny,
The AMA stuff is great and pleased for you to confirm your relationship with Cockos.
It’s lovely to see your smiling face - we know your voice so well 😉👍
Your videos are a big part of the Reaper value proposition.
Wow! How fun was that! So nice to know the people. The "how to record your Band" series did the trick for me and got me going in reaper.
All the best, Sven from The Metal Foundry
i just got into reaper about 9 months ago and i can honestly say that without these perfect videos i probably would have given up already.
Will buy a license soon. You guys deserve it really hard.
Kenny Gioia RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks buddy!
Thank you Kenny!
terima kasih atas semua tutorialnya
