Patch-like thick outline does the magic. As you study on sports team and e sports team logo, you can spot the similarities on it, simple but strong elements, thick outline and a dominant font.
@@nicolasbertolino I love it at 3:32, thinking of old art-deco style comics. Maybe try different borders, the plain black one distracts from of the giant buildings/ batteries. A border made with wires maybe, idk. Overall an amazing logo.

Not sure if you recognized it (or maybe you did) but the lightning bolt in the first one spelt LA before you lined up the bottom half of the bolt. Would look awesome if the middle battery had that again and perhaps slightly larger IMo.

Also I've seen Zimri add brush strokes to logos on multiple occasions to make them look for natural or hand-drawn. Why not just add the Roughen Edges effect? It does the exact same thing but in a more controlled manor.

The battery changes were on point! Nice work. For the DJ logo I think squaring the icon off wasn't the right decision, it no longer has any relation to the font and looks disjointed - leaving the icon with rounded corners would have made it more cohesive and given the icon a little more personality. Great revisions on the BlackForest logo. The RC looks to be sitting too high in the circle. Just my opinions.

I like how you work to simplify the images. That is what I am looking for. I have been struggling to find a graphics artist who can help me put together a company logo/image. I own a mobile DJ & Karaoke Company, Moose on the Loose. I want to create a company logo that is simple. My thoughts are the words Moose on the Loose being stacked with headphones going over the words and some sort of microphone or musical notes being embedded in the image. Maybe have the letter "o's" replaced by the DJ record image, too. I would love to hear your opinion. I am not a graphic artist, nor any kind of artist when it comes to putting something on paper.
I feel like with the DangBoyE logo the original was going for a 90s rave culture bubble-font vibe. So I think the changes make the new logo look sick but the logo seems to lose its original concept. The rave concept might be quite integral to the type of DJ/type of aesthetic the logo owner was going for
Zim has good instincts when it comes to choosing fonts and improving readability of the brand. My suggestions. LA Battery: The slab serif and multiple batteries are an improvement; I would experiment with making the lighting bolt one single shape and extend a serif from the left of the bottom "prong" to suggest an A; DangBoye is giving me PacMan vibes, but don't know whether it screams DJ; The old Blackforest logo looked like the bat signal; the new one isn't any better (sorry Zim); a skin care co. should put you at ease with smooth, clean, minimal design; all those sharp and disturbing angles suggest an acne breakout! Is the font for Reid Consulting Abril Fatface? The Sandcastle A that Enes designed is boss. It really goes well with the chosen font.
May seem like an obvious comment, but I feel that Zimri allowing himself to be spontaneous and goofy is part of the reason he's good at being creative. Lesson learned.
Interesting that you chose to define the 'D' much more in the 'DangboyE' type but the didn't reflect that in the logo mark. Also not sure on the relevance of the space invader shape as it does communicate more as a game/software logo
You actually ruined the DangboyE logo ):: the type adjustments look good its just the moment you made the logo sharp it looked like trash, and the D is no longer visible
One the Reid Consulting one, except the color, the changes made perfect sense because the old logo looked like BC rather than RC. Change the color to white on red and it's golden
