What did McDowell #34 do wrong…? He tried the double block, he tried to block Brad twice, it usually doesn’t work out very well. Instead of finishing 2nd or maybe 1st he finished like 28, and took a bunch of others with him, rookie mistake. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard veteran drivers say don’t do it .
!00% agree, the first block is fine, the second block is a wreck fest. If McDowell didn't do anything wrong there wouldn't be a bunch of teams working overtime the next few days to fix ten of thousands of dollars in wrecked cars.

What a race! Plenty of high speed competition. Three wide nose to tail freight trains. Fast track running some fast cars. Misjudgments by only a few inches turn into these multi care pileups with cars crashing head on into the wall (#43) and others getting up on their side and then flipping (#7). A car (#45) which survived the big one on the last lap sneaks across the finish line for the win. That’s Talladega Baby!

Brad is honestly the Earnhardt of super speedway racing these days.
Like Truex at short tracks, brad should have about 5 or 6 wins at talladaga right now. But someone always makes a dumb move on the last lap.
I felt like the race was on autopilot for most of the time. That was until the Toyotas messed up. After that, I could feel the tension building progressively until the final laps. It was good, not my favorite though.
Seems to me like everyone was just trying to make it to twenty laps remaining. That's when the race started!

Attended my first Talladega race today. It was a great race. McDowell was trying to get to win but in the end his double move cost Ford the win.
Brad was so close to getting that win

McDowell shoulda coulda woulda just stay high and raced Brad to the finish line, he might have won! He definitely screwed up, and that was the wrong thing that he did.

Yeah racing at 60% throttle until the last 10 laps.
the best part of the whole race to me was team toyotas swift move !!!!! ....4 out of 6 cars off the track !!!!! ....i loved it !!! ....just sayin ............................:)
Michael block one to many times. I’ll give you one block on the last lap but not 2 Micheal should of side draft Brad back to the line. But he decided to block and Brad didn’t lift and spin him out. Lesson learn like the great Tony Stewart said stop blocking or your gonna be around and in the infield son. 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Herm nice set up for cleaning your toys. I wish the nascar races didn’t come down to gas mileage and guys riding around at 60% throttle to save gas. You don’t see guys at dirt tracks doing that crap because no one would come to see a gas mileage race.

As a McDowell fan I was never comfortable for even one of those laps he led.
It really is hard to say what he should have done at the end there.

Yes the end was exciting and a wreck here or two, but it was another gas mileage race with guys not racing but running 60-70 percent throttle and Josh Berry said as much. Ricky Bobby would have finished 10 laps sooner. Been around too long to get excited with 185 mph +/- for most of the race, but that finish was exciting!

McDowell made a desperate move because he knows his chances of winning are limited to a handful of tracks. Unfortunately, NASCAR created this because of their “Win and In” policy. Tony Stewart said one time on Dale JR podcast. I didn’t mind getting second place. You got Second place points and second place money.

i fast forward through 75% of the race while they were not exchanging positions. hows that a good race? maybe for final corner on the final lap they race, thats about it

Great to see Jordan, but just because they got the win doesnt make it a good race. They might have really raced for 10-15 laps total in that thing. Riding around at 50% throttle trying to NOT be the leader isnt a good show.
It might have been good for the fans but not the owners a lot of money got trashed with wrecked race cars so I don't call that racing

Woof...it was an exciting last 1/2 mile of the race. They literally rode around almost the entire race spaced out, running 180mph while saving gas. Im not a hater but that race was unwatchable to me.

Yeah, why would they be fighting each other for the win? Their not teammates, and Brad is the car owner. It's a race. They did exactly what they get paid for. They did what their sponsors pay them to do. They did what the real fans pay to see. THEY RACE!!!

Turned on the desktop Saturday and started streaming the Cars Tour at 2:45pm on Floracing. Around 6:30pm I fired up the bigscreen, turned on Floracing and streamed The High Limit Series. Hours of racing, dirt and pavement. Multiple classes of cars, hundreds of laps of qualifying, heat races and features and exactly ZERO green flag racing commercials, not even during qualifying. Over 8 hours of racing coverage. Drivers actually passing before the last corner of the last lap without having to run over each other. You tuned in to this garbage, missed at least 25% of the green flag racing due to 4,5 or more commercials in a row and the winner of the race isn't the fastest car, not the best driver, not the team with the best strategy but the luckiest driver to survive the demolition derby. SHAMCAR is a joke.
